Not To Miss Character Meals in Disney

It is so exciting to have character meals and character meet and greets back in Walt Disney World.  We were grateful that Disney was creative so we could still see some of our favorite characters.  There is nothing better than being able to hug Mickey Mouse once again!

Along with meet and greets being back, character meals are also slowly coming back at some of our favorite dining locations throughout Walt Disney World.

Take a look at these not to miss character meals currently offered in Walt Disney World.  These are extremely popular dining experiences.  Since they are so popular, you will want to make sure that you are online and ready to book at your 60-day mark.  Reservations open online at 6 am EST.  Although this might seem a little silly, these high-in-demand reservations book up quickly.

Character meals are a great way to get out of the heat of the day, see a fun Disney character, and enjoy a good meal.

Let’s take a look at some of the not to miss character meals right now at Walt Disney World.

Topolino’s Terrace- Disney’s Riviera Resort

The most sought-after character dining takes place during breakfast at Disney’s Riviera Resort.  This location offers rooftop views of Walt Disney World as it is located at the top of the Resort.

For this character dining meal, you will be eating breakfast as that is the only time it is available.  This is a higher-priced meal with breakfast ranging from $35 to $59.99 per adult.

Called “breakfast a la art with Mickey & Friends”, this meal allows you to experience a prix fixe menu of delicious breakfast times while hanging out with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck.

They will all parade through the dining area in their stylish outfits that you can only see at Topolino’s Terrace during breakfast.  Mickey is a painter, Donald is a sculptor, Daisy is a ballerina, and Minnie is a poet.  These are some of the most adorable outfits we have seen our beloved friends wear.

Not only do you get the opportunity to take some amazing pictures, but the food options are also outstanding.  The popular sour cream waffles are amazing as is the smoked salmon.  Even though it might seem fancy, you kids will still be able to enjoy Mickey waffles!

Topolino’s Terrace is a top character dining at Walt Disney World and we don’t see that changing anytime soon!

Story Book Dining- Artist Point – Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

A truly enchanting character experience is found at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.  Story Book Dining is offered at Artist Point from 4 pm to 9 pm daily.  The cost for this experience is typically over $60/adult making it a signature experience in Walt Disney World.

What makes this Disney character dining experience so unique are the Disney pals you get to meet during the meal.  Guests are able to see the Evil Queen, Snow White, and typically both Dopey and Grumpy.  Besides special holiday parties, this is currently the only place Guests can see members of the 7 Dwarfs.

The Enchanted Forest is truly breathtaking as it transfers Guests into a magical escape.  This meal is also a prix fixe menu.  Guests share appetizers, choose from some amazing entrees such as a prime rib or pork shank, and wrap up the meal with a sweet treat.

This meal is the most high-end character dining experience in Walt Disney World at the moment.  If you want to see these unique characters while visiting, it could be worth it.

Cinderella's Royal Table

Cinderella’s Royal Table- Magic Kingdom

The most iconic character meal is Cinderella’s Royal Table where you eat inside the castle itself.  Offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner throughout the day, Guests have numerous options to eat in the castle.

The cost of the meals ranges from $35 at breakfast to over $60 for dinner.  Currently, the only princess to visit Guests at this meal is Cinderella herself.  Although we are hopeful that her royal friends will join her once again soon, we haven’t heard much about this lately.

Being inside the castle is truly a magical experience and since dining here is the only way to do so, it continues to be an extremely popular character meal even with few princesses.

The meal options are delicious and offer a variety of options as well.  Even without all the princesses, this meal is a top character choice in Walt Disney World still.

Hollywood and Vine

Hollywood and Vine- Disney’s Hollywood Studios

One dining location that some Guests aren’t aware of is located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  Hollywood and Vine offers two different character meals throughout the day.

For breakfast, Guests can enjoy Disney Junior Play n’ Dine.  While enjoying amazing pastries and all you care to eat pancakes, beloved friends from favorite Disney Junior shows make their way around.  We have seen Doc McStuffins and Vampiria here.

For lunch and supper, the meal transfers to Minnie’s Season Dining.  Minnie hosts fun parties throughout the year where Guests can enjoy festive music, and decor and celebrate with Disney Characters all dressed for the season.

The four seasonal events are Silver Screen Dine, Springtime Dine, Summertime Dine, and finally Halloween Dine.

This is a fun, energetic meal that can be a lot of fun for kids.

Chef Mickey's

Chef Mickey’s – Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner with Chef Mickey and friends.  Full of fun and energy, this meal is a well-known favorite in Walt Disney World.

Guests enjoy being able to hang out and celebrate with Mickey and friends during their meal.  A family-style meal/buffet is a great option for those big eaters.

There is something truly Disney about eating at Chef Mickey’s.  It continues to be a top character location for Guests during their Disney vacation.

Garden Grill

Garden Grill- EPCOT

Another fun, cheerful dining experience is found in EPCOT’s Land Pavilion.  Chip n’ Dale invite Guests to enjoy a fresh meal as they view Living with the Land from high above.

A garden feast waits for Guests at this location.  With fresh veggies, great meat and amazing sides, this meal is a fun option as well for characters.  It is super cute to see both Chip n’ Dale as well as other pals in their farmer outfits during the meal.

Those are the current top not to miss character dining experiences in Walt Disney World.  If you are looking for a way to see the characters while in Walt Disney World, a character meal is a great way to do so.
