Visit Mickey Mouse

It wouldn’t be a trip to Walt Disney World without getting a hug and a few pictures with Mickey Mouse. Luckily Disney makes it extremely easy to do this. Mickey is available at all four Disney Parks.

At Magic Kingdom, Mickey meets Guests at Town Square Theatre, and over at EPCOT, he is somewhat hidden in the Imagination Pavilion.

The only place Mickey and Minnie meet in the Parks is at the Adventurers Outpost in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Here you can see them both in their adorable safari outfits. Finally, you can find him at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as Sorcerer Mickey.

If you don’t want to meet Mickey Mouse in the Parks, you can also find him at various character meals. Chef Mickeys, Garden Grill, Ohana, and Topolino’s Terrace breakfast are just a few of the top dining experiences where Mickey Mouse is around to greet Guests.

It is so much fun to visit with Mickey during a vacation!

Capture the Disney Icons

We love taking pictures of the Disney icons in each Park. This is a great way to capture the day, but consider grabbing those icons from different spots throughout the Park.

In Magic Kingdom, ensure you get a picture before Cinderella Castle. We also recommend taking pictures from different spots around the hub of the castle.

There are some fantastic photo options on the castle’s sides and even the castle’s backside. It is such a beautiful icon, so take pictures from different areas to capture the beauty.

Spaceship Earth

In EPCOT, Spaceship Earth is the icon that represents the Park. This is stunning if you can snag a picture at night of Spaceship Earth.

The lights that bring Spaceship Earth to life at night and the monorail that goes by make for some fantastic photos.

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the unique Tree of Life is the icon of the Park.

When you come to Discovery Island, you will be welcomed by this magnificent tree featuring hundreds of animals.

Take time to snag a picture of it and search for those animals. Like Cinderella Castle, take some time to walk around the Tree of Life and get photos from different spots.

Finally, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror has become the icon of the Park.

As you head down Sunset Boulevard, take some time to stop for a photo of the haunted hotel in the background.

These photos are great keepsakes and fun to have after returning home.

Enjoy a Special Treat

Walt Disney World is known for having special treats throughout the year. Take time during your trip to enjoy some of these iconic treats.

Make sure you enjoy a Mickey-shaped treat of your choosing. There are many delicious options, from Mickey pretzels to the Mickey ice cream bars at Disney.

Other great treats throughout the Parks include the spring rolls at Magic Kingdom or the colossal Mickey cinnamon roll at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Look at some of the iconic Disney treats before you head down so you know what you want to get while visiting.

Hang Out on Disney Transportation

We love that Disney offers free transportation around the Walt Disney World property. We recommend taking advantage of it to get to and from the Disney Parks but also take time to enjoy it.

Slow down and take a ride on the Disney monorail or skyliner. These are just unique modes of transportation; it is so much to experience them when you aren’t in a hurry.

The Skyliner takes Guests to and from EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where the monorail transports Guests to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.

If you can fit it into your plans, take some time to catch a ride!

Slow Down and Enjoy the Magic

Don’t miss out on the random magical experiences that happen throughout the day at Walt Disney World. Getting wrapped up in rushing from ride to ride can be extremely easy, and you miss out on the magic around you.

When visiting Walt Disney World, take time to breathe in the magic. Stroll down Main Street, U.S.A., and marvel at the details.

Check out the iconic Disney walls, take fun photos, or relax on the hub grass.

To have a great vacation in Walt Disney World doesn’t mean you have to be constantly on a ride.

A good time is just being with those you love and enjoying the moment.

These are some big-picture magical experiences you shouldn’t miss out on during your Walt Disney World vacation. It can be easy to get wrapped up in the must-dos and the details of the trip, but we hope by bringing these more considerable experiences to your attention, you will take time to enjoy them as well during your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.
