With four Disney Parks, over twenty Disney Resorts, Disney Springs, and two water parks, there are so many unique experiences for Guests to enjoy during their Walt Disney World vacation. Thinking you can do it all when arriving at Walt Disney World can be easy. This isn’t reality. No matter how long your trip to Disney is, there are some experiences you won’t get to during your trip.
We have fifteen experiences that we think all visitors to Walt Disney World should enjoy during their magical vacation. From rides to dining, these are the experiences that we think you should have on your must-do list.
15- Book a Disney Resort
The first experience we feel everyone should enjoy at least once is a stay at one of Disney’s amazing Resorts. Disney offers Resorts for all budgets, needs, and family sizes. You will experience staying within the Disney bubble by staying at a Disney Resort.
A stay at a Disney Resort includes additional perks such as extra time in the Disney Parks. Free transportation throughout Walt Disney World is another perk of staying at a Disney Resort. The amenities and services you will enjoy at a Disney Resort are top-notch. You are immersed in the Disney magic throughout your whole vacation.
14. Visit Mickey Mouse
When visiting Walt Disney World, make sure that you visit Mickey Mouse. You can do this throughout all four Disney Parks and at some character meals. We have a whole post about where you see the main mouse himself. There is something exceptional about meeting Mickey Mouse during a Disney trip. Don’t skip out on this experience.
13. Experience a Thrill
When planning your days at Walt Disney World, schedule some time for thrills. There are numerous options throughout the four theme Parks for thrill seekers to have a great time.
If you are looking for high-speed thrills, look at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or TRON Lightcyle Run. Try Space Mountain or Twilight Zone Tower of Terror for dark thrills. Even though you might think of something other than Walt Disney World as full of delights, we would challenge this idea. Take a look at all the thrills you can have in the Parks.
12. Experience a Classic Attraction
Part of what makes Disney unique is the classic attractions. Take time during your visit to experience these rides. Magic Kingdom is a great place to discover these fantastic attractions that make Disney special.
The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, it’s a small world, and Peter Pan’s Flight are just a few of the classic attractions found at Magic Kingdom. These are must-do experiences for Guests visiting Walt Disney World. They show the magic that makes Disney so wonderful for the whole family.
11. Ride Kilimanjaro Safari in Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Go on a real safari ride while visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Here Guests can see lions, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, elephants, and many other amazing animals that make the savanna home.
This ride is fun for the whole family and an excellent way to learn about the animals.
10. Ride Spaceship Earth at EPCOT
It wouldn’t be a trip to Walt Disney World without a stop at Spaceship Earth. Most Guests are well aware of this Disney icon, but they might know there is a ride inside. Here Guests are taken on a trip through our history of communication. This slow-moving ride is an excellent example of what makes EPCOT unique. It teaches Guests about communication while also entertaining.
9. See Festival of the Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Festival of the Lion King is a Broadway-like production that brings the music and characters from the beloved Lion King movie. This is a must-see performance that is full of talented Cast Members.
8. For the First Time in Forever- A Frozen Sing-Along- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Another show you won’t want to miss at Walt Disney World is the sing-along at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. For the First Time in Forever- A Frozen Sing-Along is a hilarious retelling of the Frozen story.
Not only will Guests love to sing along with their favorite Frozen songs, but the historians that bring the story to Guests are hilarious and some of the best of what Disney has to offer.
7. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The only ride featuring Mickey and his pals is one you won’t want to miss out on while in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This ride is excellent for the whole family and takes Guests along with Mickey and Minnie on a picnic with a little extra excitement, thanks to Goofy. Don’t miss out on this new, exciting, and entertaining ride.
6. Get a Picture
It wouldn’t be a trip to Walt Disney World without a family photo in from of Cinderella Castle. Take time to get a few pictures in front of this icon. We recommend trying different locations, such as the bridge to Tomorrowland or Liberty Square, to get different angles.
If you visit other Disney Parks, get photos before their icons.
5. Enjoy EPCOT’s World Showcase
Slow down while visiting EPCOT and enjoy everything the World Showcase offers. So often, Guests visiting EPCOT quickly walk around the World Showcase. Take time to explore the different pavilions.
Each pavilion offers a unique look into the culture of these countries. Don’t rush past them, but instead, slow down and enjoy.
4. Experience the Transportation
Take time during your Walt Disney World vacation to enjoy the free transportation. These are part of Disney magic and an experience of their own. Enjoy a monorail ride or a skyliner ride. These two modes of transportation are unique and shouldn’t be missed by Guests. They are a great way to see part of the magic you might not normally see.
3. See Fantasmic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
One of the best nighttime shows at Walt Disney World is Fantasmic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests will enjoy a fantastic show with characters, music, fireworks, and outstanding projections. Be prepared for a beautiful trip into Mickey’s imagination.
2. Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom
We are thrilled that Happily Ever After is back at Magic Kingdom. Watching the nighttime show in Magic Kingdom is one of the most magical experiences at Walt Disney World. This show features fantastic fireworks and projections; the music is so moving. We love this show and feel like it is a must-do experience.
1. Slow Down
Finally, make sure that you take time to slow down during your Walt Disney World vacation. Experience the magic that happens every day right around you. Don’t rush from ride to ride; allow yourself time to enjoy. Have a snack while sitting on the hub grass or walk the paths around Disney’s Animal Kingdom. These moments will make your trip extra memorable.
