A former Disney cast member has revealed a guest’s unusual “hack” for getting into EPCOT without purchasing tickets. While the method technically works, the Walt Disney World Resort guest ultimately found themselves very disappointed.
EPCOT Without Tickets?
Former Disney cast member Kelsey Conkling, known on TikTok as @disneywithkels, shares behind-the-scenes stories from her time at Walt Disney World Resort. In one video, Conkling recounted a memorable interaction with a guest who believed they had found a foolproof way to bypass buying EPCOT tickets.

According to Conkling, the guest seemed confused when they arrived at EPCOT’s entrance. When Conkling asked if she needed help, the woman explained that she had followed a “hack” she’d seen on Facebook to enter the park for free.
I saw this video on Facebook of someone saying that if you ride the Monorail from the Magic Kingdom to EPCOT, you could get into EPCOT without ever having bought a ticket,” the guest said. “The Monorail dropped me here which is outside the entrance. She said I could get into EPCOT without buying a ticket.”
While it’s true that the Monorail passes through EPCOT, providing a scenic view of the park and Spaceship Earth, guests still need valid tickets to enter through the turnstiles.
Reality Hits
Unfortunately, the guest quickly realized the “hack” was misleading. Standing outside EPCOT with no ticket, her day’s plans were ruined.
“That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard,” she reportedly said. “Well, there goes my plans for the day. I guess I’m not going into EPCOT.”
