YES! More Beloved Characters in Walt Disney World

Characters are a big part of the Disney magic at Walt Disney World.  We are thrilled that even more, beloved Disney characters will be returning to Walt Disney World in the next few months.  To prepare for all these new, fun characters, let’s take a quick look at the current meet and greets in some of the Disney Parks as well as the big announcements of what is coming.

Magic Kingdom

Let’s start by looking at the current places to meet characters in Magic Kingdom.

Princess Fairytale Hall-Fantasyland

In Fantasyland, Guests are able to meet princesses at the Princess Fairytale Hall.   There are a variety of princesses that make appearances here.  Guests can often see Elena, Rapunzel, Tiana, and Cinderella but they do rotate so make sure you check to see who is making an appearance during your visit.

Tomorrowland

On the Rocket TowerPlaza Stage in Tomorrowland, Guests are able to see both Buzz Lightyear and Stitch.  Even though they only meet from a distance currently, it is still super fun to see what trouble Stitch has been up to and where Buzz’s adventures have taken him.

There are a few other fun and unique characters that Guests can see throughout Magic Kingdom.  Jack Sparrow continues to have fun with Guests in Adventureland.  Chip ‘n’ Dale are often seen getting into trouble over at Storybook Circus and Anatasia and Drizella often are hanging out in Fantasyland looking for compliments.

Let’s now look at the new character experiences coming to Magic Kingdom.

Pete’s Silly Sideshow- Storybook Circus

We learned that characters will be returning to Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Magic Kingdom.  These characters are daring Disney pals that feature circus stars.  Guests will be able to once again see fun, draining characters in unique characters.

Some of the daring Disney pals are Goofy as “The Great Goofini: and Donald Duck at “The Astounding Donaldo”.  Guests can also choose to meet Minnie and Daisy in this area.  There are typically two different lines depending on which two characters Guests wish to meet.

Pete’s Silly Side Show opens later in the day so make sure to check My Disney Experience to see the times.

Adventureland and Fantasyland- Magic Kingdom

Disney announced that Peter Pan will be back as well as Aladdin and Jasmine in Adventureland.  These are unique characters that we look forward to interacting with once again in Magic Kingdom.

Mickey and Minnie:  Town Square

We were thrilled when Mickey Mouse started to meet Guests once again at Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom.  We love seeing him in his amazing EARidescent suit.  This meet and greet are getting even better as it was announced that Minnie Mouse will be joining Mickey in her beautiful EARidscent dress.  This is sure to be a popular experience so consider getting there early or using Genie+ to avoid long lines.

Mirabel- Adventure Friends Cavalcade

Finally, we are so thrilled that Mirabel will be making her first appearance in a Walt Disney World theme Park.  We already love the Adventure Friends Cavalcade and it is going to be even better when Mirabel joins all the other amazing characters.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

We can look forward to more characters coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon as well.

Right now Guests are able to already meet some amazing Disney pals, but there are more coming.

Olaf, Mickey, and Minnie

Both Mickey and Minnie welcome Guests at the Red Carpet Dreams.  Here Minnie shows off her red carpet dress and Sorcoor Mickey is ready for the show.  Guests can also meet Olaf at Celebrity Spotlight.

Animation Courtyard

Over at the Animation Courtyard, Disney Junior fans are thrilled to be able to see Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, and Vampirina.  We have also been able to see Sulley and Pluto in this area which is lots of fun.

There are two big sets of characters returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios that will have Guests thrilled.

Star Wars Launch Bay

Darth Vader, BB8, and Chewbacca will all be back at Launch Bay.  This area has been closed to characters since 2020 and we have been anxiously awaiting their return.  We have our Star Wars costumes ready.

Toy Story Land

Andy’s toys are coming back to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  Guests will once again be able to meet some of their favorite Toy Story characters.  We are thrilled to see Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and even Bo-Peep return.

Other Characters Returning

There are two more character experiences coming back to Walt Disney World.  Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Donald’s Dino-Bash will be returning.  This is a fun interaction and we hope that Chip ‘n’ Dale will be back in their adorable dino costumes.

We do know that this duo will be back at Disney’s For Wilderness.  Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long is coming back.  This is open to all Guests and not just those staying at Fort Wilderness.  It is a fun evening and a unique experience to have at Disney.  Make sure to check for times during your Disney vacation and know that weather might impact the event.

Characters make a huge part of the magic at Walt Disney World.  We were thankful with Disney started to bring our beloved pals back into the Disney Parks even at a distance because they are so important to the magic.  We are overjoyed that more characters will be returning to the Parks and Resorts and that we are once again able to hug them and get autographs.

There is something truly magical about hugging Mickey Mouse in Magic Kingdom during a Disney vacation.
