9 Experiences Most Guests Miss On Main Street, U.S.A.

Magic Kingdom Park consists of six lands – Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and Main Street, U.S.A. Generally, the main attractions in the Disney Park are found beyond Main Street, U.S.A., including Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, TRON Lightcycle/Run, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. As such, many Guests miss out on nine experiences in Main Street, U.S.A. Which experiences have you yet to enjoy in the Walt Disney World Resort?

Meet Mickey Mouse

Mickey Mouse meets Guests in the Town Square Theatre on Main Street, U.S.A. You can’t take a Disney vacation without meeting Mickey at some point. He often attracts a long line throughout the day. As he meets Guests inside, waiting in line is a great way to escape the Florida heat. As it’s cool inside, you’ll also be able to compose yourself, so you’re ready to see Walt Disney World’s biggest celebrity. Meeting Mickey at the Town Square Theater is available on Disney Genie+. If you use it during your time in Magic Kingdom Park, you can secure a Lightning Lane reservation for the Main Street, U.S.A. attraction.

If you plan on meeting Mickey as you enter Magic Kingdom Park, use the right arch under the Main Street Station. After passing the stroller rental counter, you can enter a building on your right, the Town Square Theater. If you are coming from elsewhere in Magic Kingdom Park, keep to the left as you reach the end of Main Street, U.S.A. The Town Square Theater is the building set back after passing the Main Street Confectionery store.

Post some Mail

Do you plan on sending postcards or other mail during your Disney vacation? There are plenty of mailboxes around the Walt Disney World Resort to send your mail. However, we always use the mailbox on Main Street, U.S.A. To add extra magic to your mail, visit Guest Services in City Hall first. A Cast Member will happily add a special stamp to your mail. You will still require a postage stamp to send your mail. Once your correspondence is stamped, pop it in the mailbox you will find on the lamppost outside City Hall.

See The Dapper Dans

You can enjoy live music throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. In Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll find the Dapper Dans. Colorful pinstripe suits and straw hats easily identify the barbershop quartet. Throughout the day, they appear on Main Street, U.S.A., performing a capella American standards and Disney classics. Seeing the Dapper Dans perform is fun for all the family. Sing along and laugh at their puns and wit. Check the My Disney Experience App for up-to-date performance times.

Listen to the Casey’s Corner Pianist

Another live performance you can experience in Magic Kingdom Park is the Casey’s Corner Pianist. Enjoy the tunes while dining at Casey’s Corner, or stop to watch on your way to Adventureland. The Casey’s Corner Pianist is located outside the quick-service restaurant. His impressive repertoire means that you’re not likely to hear the same song played twice. The Casey’s Corner Pianist plays Disney classics and favorites throughout the day. Check the My Disney Experience App for up-to-date performance times.

Make your own popcorn

Popcorn is a popular snack to enjoy around the Walt Disney World Resort. Purchasing a popcorn bucket is an excellent way to save money and enjoy as much popcorn as you like. But did you know you can also make your own popcorn in Lake Buena Vista? You’ll need to visit the Main Street Confectionery store to do so. At the back of the store is the Kernel Kitchen. Here, you can choose a popcorn flavor and have it topped with syrup and toppings. We recommend stopping by on the final day of your Disney vacation so that you can take your popcorn home. It’s the perfect treat to enjoy when the Disney blues have set in.

Catch the Walt Disney World Railroad

The Walt Disney World Railroad allows you to travel around the outskirt of Magic Kingdom Park. An entire loop takes around 20 minutes, providing an excellent opportunity to rest your legs. You can board the Walt Disney World Railroad at three stations in Magic Kingdom Park – Frontierland, Fantasyland, and Main Street, U.S.A. We love to board the train at the Main Street, U.S.A. station. It’s an excellent Disney attraction to ride before leaving the Disney Park.

Watch Happily Ever After

Magic Kingdom Park is generally busier in the evening. Many Guests choose to end their Disney day at Disney Park to watch Happily Ever After. The nighttime spectacular can be enjoyed throughout Magic Kingdom Park and nearby Disney Resort hotels. While many Guests hope to secure a viewing spot in the hub in front of Cinderella Castle, Main Street U.S.A. offers a great viewing location. From here, you have a clear view of the fireworks lighting up the sky and can also enjoy the projections on the buildings of Main Street, U.S.A. You won’t need to secure a viewing spot as early in the evening if you plan to watch from Main Street, U.S.A.

Most Guests walk down Main Street, U.S.A. However, you can also board a Main Street Vehicle to travel down the Magic Kingdom theme park land. Board the omnibus or fire engine in Town Square. You can make a one-way trip to Cinderella Castle or a round trip. The Main Street Vehicles run throughout the day. However, they pause operation during the Festival of Fantasy Parade.

Get a Haircut

Getting a haircut is probably one of the things you do before taking a Disney vacation. However, if you run out of time to do so, you could always visit the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street, U.S.A. Guests of all ages can get their hair cut in the charming and old-fashioned spot. Of course, you can expect a few Disney surprises during your experience. In particular, the Harmony Barber Shop is an excellent experience for young Guests getting their first haircut.
