Live Music Spots We Never Miss in Walt Disney World

The Walt Disney World Resort has something to offer for everyone. While you may think of shows, rides, and Disney characters when visiting the Disney Parks, there are plenty of live musical performances to enjoy. During a Disney vacation, we love to make plans to enjoy the live music available for Guests. While you will find some in a Disney theme park, others take place in Disney Springs or a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. You don’t have to have a Disney Park ticket to enjoy live music during your Disney vacation. Additionally, there’s no need for a Disney Genie+ reservation to enjoy live music, either.

The Dapper Dans

One of Main Street U.S.A’s attractions in Magic Kingdom Park is The Dapper Dans. They are a lively barbershop quartet dressed in brightly colored pinstripe suits and straw hats. Throughout the day, you can see them sing harmoniously, tap dances, and entertain audiences with humor. Enjoy their performances of Disney classics and American standards between 9 a.m. and 3:40 p.m. daily.

Grand Floridian Lobby Pianist

Days in the Disney Parks can be tiring. We all welcome the opportunity to sit, relax and just take a moment. The lobby at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is an idyllic spot to do just that. There are plenty of chairs and sofas to sit and enjoy the ambiance of the Disney hotel. We also love this spot as it is often accompanied by live music from the Grand Floridian Lobby Pianist. The Pianist features from 3 p.m. through to 7:15 p.m. daily. He sits at the grand piano and plays beautiful Disney melodies. If you plan on dining at one of the restaurants at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, arrive a little earlier than your advance dining reservation, and stop to enjoy the entertainment in the lobby.

Jellyrolls

Disney’s BoardWalk has one of the few adult-only experiences in the Walt Disney World Resort. Jellyrolls is a dueling piano bar open daily from 7 p.m. to 1:45 a.m. for all Guests aged 21 and over. A variety of cocktails and beverages are available to order from the bar. Alternatively, take a seat and place your order with a Cast Member who is serving. Drinks can come with a side of popcorn to snack on while enjoying the evening entertainment.

Every evening in Jellyrolls is different. The talented pianists take requests written on napkins from Guests. They also play their own choices. You can expect to hear every genre of music in Jellyrolls – from Disney to Queen, Abba to Justin Bieber. There may even be an opportunity for audience participation during your visit. We recommend arriving at Jellyrolls a little ahead of EPCOT Park closing to beat the rush of Guests after EPCOT Forever in World Showcase. Doing so will guarantee you a seat inside.

JAMMitors

EPCOT features a unique live musical performance from the JAMMitors. They aren’t your usual custodial Cast Members. Instead, they are funky percussionists who make syncopated sounds using trash cans as their instruments. You’ll find them hanging around World Discovery, near Mission: SPACE and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. If you see a crowd gather as you walk, you know the JAMMitors are about. See them perform several times daily, from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Scat Cat’s Club Lounge

Did you know you can enjoy Mickey Beignets at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort while enjoying live jazz music? Scat Cat’s Club Lounge is open daily from 5 p.m. through 12 a.m. Visit the relaxed, New Orleans-style lounge on Fridays through Sundays to enjoy music from a live jazz band. It’s an excellent place to unwind after a day in the Disney Parks. The full-service bar has a wide range of beverages on offer. The menu also features specialty cocktails and Bourbon. If you’re feeling peckish, there is a selection of appetizers. Alternatively, request an order of Mickey Beignets with dipping sauce from Scat Cat’s Club Cafe.

Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant

Raglan Road is the place to be if you’re looking for delicious food and refreshing drinks with a fantastic atmosphere and live music. At The Landing in Disney Springs, Raglan Road comes alive every evening. Inside, you can enjoy Irish music from the live band. Throughout the evening, the Raglan Road dancers will also take to the stage and podium for you to enjoy Irish dancing with your dinner or beverage. We recommend making an advance dining reservation if you plan on dining at Raglan Road during the evening.

If you prefer something a little more relaxed, sit on the patio. Talented singer-songwriters are showcased outside of Raglan Road for patio Guests to enjoy, as well as other Guests of Disney Springs. Cast Members are on hand to take your order from your table while you enjoy the evening.

Viva Gaia Street Band!

We love the immersive music that is played throughout Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We also adore the live music performances to be enjoyed around the Disney Park. In particular, the Viva Gaia Street Band! always catches our attention when we’re strolling through Discovery Island. The multicultural troupe leads a Caribbean street party throughout the day. Enjoy bright colors, costumes, rhythm, and dance daily from 10:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. We love to enjoy a performance from the Viva Gaia Street Band! after a ride on Expedition Everest. Alternatively, they’re an excellent warm-up before seeing Festival of the Lion King.
