6 Reasons Why An Adults Only Trip to Disney is Fantastic

We know that when most people think about going to Walt Disney World on vacation, it is with their family. The goal of Walt Disney World is for adults and kids to enjoy the magic together. Even though this might be the goal, there are some great experiences for adults to enjoy.

We have six reasons you want to take an adult-only trip to Walt Disney World for your next vacation.

Top Resort

If you are traveling with little ones, their needs become the focus of all decisions, including where to stay. Walt Disney World has some great Resorts for kids. They have large than life Disney icons and are bright and excited. Although these are fantastic for families, these Resorts don’t have to be where to stay as an adult.

Consider paying a little extra to experience one of the moderate or even deluxe Resorts. These Resorts have great amenities that will give you extra magic during your stay. Enjoy late-night drinks at the Dahlia Lounge at Disney’s Gran Destino Tower while watching Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Get adventurous and take a boat on the Seven Seas Lagoon or Cresent Lake. The moderate and deluxe Resorts also offer hot tubs and quiet pools that are perfect for relaxing and resting during your vacation.

You can enjoy a Resort meant for you during an adult-only vacation instead of worrying about how your little one will enjoy it.

Do What You Want

Another great thing about traveling with only adults is that you can set your schedule. You can determine if you want to sleep in or rope drop. You can make these decisions without worrying about little ones melting down.

You can change your plans as you go throughout the day without having to worry about how it will impact others. This alone makes traveling with adults a great experience.

When traveling with adults, you can easily adjust plans. It is a lot easier to navigate Walt Disney World without strollers and all the items that go along with little ones. Grab a ride share and be on your way. This is a fantastic feeling.

Stay Up Late

Another great thing about traveling with adults is that you can stay up late into the night. Walt Disney World is returning the After Hours Events, which are fantastic for adults. Hang out by the pool all day and head into the Parks for an After Hours Event.

These occur in Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, or EPCOT on specific evenings. Guests are given access to the Park until late into the evening. Crowds are extremely low, and rides can be enjoyed multiple times.

Guests staying at a Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resort can also take advantage of the extended evening hours. This allows Gusets of these Resorts to enter into EPCOT or Magic Kingdom for three more hours after the Parks close. Again, this is a great time to experience the Parks with low crowds.

Consider enjoying the nightlife as well. Over at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, you can hang out at Jellyrolls, a dueling piano bar. There is also a lot of great live entertainment at Disney Springs each evening to enjoy as well.

It is nice to see Disney under the stars, which is much easier to do without little ones.

Take Tour

Something that Disney does exceptionally well is touring. It can be hard to go on a tour when traveling with a family, as many of them have age restrictions. If you have adults-only traveling, consider looking into one of Disney’s many tours throughout the four Parks.

Check out the various tours at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for animal lovers. Here you can get up close with Rhinos and learn about elephants. If you are a thrill seeker, try out the Wild Africa Trek, a more extended experience that takes you up on rope bridges above some animals that make the Park home.

EPCOT has the Behind the Seeds Tour allows Guests to get back into the gardens that they see on Living with the Land. This shorter and less expensive tour makes it a good starting point.

For Disney fanatics, consider the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. This takes you around Magic Kingdom while a fabulous Cast member shares various amazing facts about the Park.

Disney has a tour you can enjoy, regardless of your love.

Enjoy Fine Dining

Disney says kids are welcome everywhere, but most of us probably need to catch up on fine dining experiences when traveling with little ones. Take time during an adult’s trip to enjoy some of Disney’s signature dining experiences.

Head up to California Grill in Disney’s Contemporary Resort to enjoy a dinner with a view of the Magic Kingdom. Try the newly updated Narcoossee at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. These high-end dining experiences are some of the best at Walt Disney World. They provide fantastic food with a beautiful atmosphere.

Enjoy a nice, relaxing meal while being waited on while in Disney.

Enjoy the Extras

Finally, look into the extras that Disney has to offer. Yes, we love the four Disney Parks; however, there is a lot more that Guests can enjoy.

Consider taking a day to hit the golf course. Enjoy mini-golfing or even take a whole afternoon at the spa. Walt Disney World has so many excellent experiences beyond the Theme Parks.

These are some of the top reasons why an adult-only trip to Walt Disney World should be on your bucket list.
