Don’t Miss Out on the Magic of Disney’s Main Street USA

As we get ready to enter Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, most of us don’t slow down long enough to enjoy the magic of Main Street, U.S.A.. This area welcomes us to the magic and, for many of us, where our Walt Disney World vacations begin.

We understand the excitement of entering the Magic Kingdom and wanting to rush to see Cinderella Castle or race off to our favorite ride (looking at you, Pirates of the Caribbean). Still, we want to ensure you know all the magic you can experience on Main Street, U.S.A., in Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Our goal is that the next time you are in Magic Kingdom, you slow down and take in some of the magic on your own.

Food Options

Let’s start with the food options found as we walk down Main Street, U.S.A. Here we can find various dining options, from quick snacks to sit-down meals with characters.

Although you won’t find it on your Park map, our favorite popcorn cart is located right as you enter under the train station on the left-hand side. If you have been here, you know what we are talking about. There is something extra delicious about this popcorn in this specific cart.

For sit-down options, there are three restaurants to choose from just on Main Street, U.S.A., in Magic Kingdom. Tony’s Town Square, Crystal Palace, and The Plaza Restaurant are here. Tony’s Town Square is a pasta-focused restaurant based on Lady and the Tramp. This is a fantastic viewing area if you can snag a table outside during a parade.

The Plaza Restaurant needs to be better known. It is a smaller venue that offers hearty meals such as pot pies. With great views of the castle, this is a good option for visiting the Magic Kingdom. Finally, don’t forget about Crystal Palace. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner Crystal Palace is a buffet full of delicious options. The best part of this restaurant isn’t the food but the adorable characters that visit throughout the meal. Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, and Piglet all stop by while Guests enjoy their meal.

If you are looking for a quick meal or snack on your way in or out of the Park, you also have a few options. Casey’s Corner is where Guests will find their corn dog nuggets and hot dogs. Across the way, the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is where you can get fresh scooped ice cream. The Main Street Bakery is the Starbucks in Magic Kingdom, providing all the favorites. Finally, grab a snack to go to the Main Street Confectionery. This is where you can find caramel apples and other Mickey-shaped treats.

As you can see, there are a lot of delicious treats and meals to be enjoyed on Main Street, U.S.A., at Magic Kingdom.

Shopping Emporium

Shopping

Along with great food comes excellent shopping, also found on Main Street, U.S.A. The Emporium is the largest shop in Magic Kingdom, where you can find everything Disney-related. From the biggest Stitch to the newest Minnie Ears, the Emporium is where you will find it. This store is the whole length of Main Street, U.S.A. A big tip is to only wait until the evening to shop here. Many Guests wait until after the fireworks to do their shopping, making the Emporium less than magical. Try to stop in during the afternoon for some air conditioning and shopping.

On the opposite side of the Emporium are specialty shops. These offer unique items for Guests. Uptown Jewelers is where you can find Pandora, Magical Extras at Crystal Arts specializes in glass blowing which can sometimes be caught live. You can also find Loungefly bags, Dooney and Bourke, and other higher-end items.

As you enter Main Street, U.S.A., you will find Box Office Gifts and Curtain Call Collectables. This is where you can find the traditional Mickey Ear hats that you can customize.

Although we love spending time in the Emporium, there are a lot of other unique shops across the way that are fun to walk through as well.

Train

Attractions

You might not know it, but there are a few attractions on Main Street USA. The first you can hear as you enter the Park is the Walt Disney World Railroad. We are thrilled that this ride is back at Magic Kingdom. Enjoy the 20-minute ride around Magic Kingdom as you enjoy the scenic views.

The Main Street Vehicles can be seen throughout the day making their way up and down Main Street USA. Guests can catch a ride on these charming vehicles.

Our most prominent attraction is meeting Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theatre. Here Guests get their pictures with Mickey Mouse or even participate in magic alongside Mickey. This is a must-do stop during our Magic Kingdom day.

Entertainment

The best part of Main Street, U.S.A. is the entertainment. This is what brings this area to life. It might be enjoying the Dapper Dans, the barbershop quartet that brings humor and incredible talent to Main Street, U.S.A. Maybe you catch the Main Street Philharmonic marching band or the Casey’s Corner Pianist.

Don’t forget to stop and see Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire on the castle stage throughout the day. Tiana, Rapunzel, and others join Mickey and his friends to create a magical show for Guests each day.

Take time to enjoy the Festival of Fantasy Parade that takes place twice a day at Magic Kingdom. This parade brings out amazing floats and characters and the steam-punk Maleficent dragon. We also enjoy getting ice cream or corn dog nuggets and watching the cavalcades that go down Main Street, U.S.A., each day. We love how these are quick ways to see so many of our favorite characters.

Finally, don’t forget the fantastic production of Happily Ever After that wraps up the evening at Magic Kingdom. This spectacular nighttime show has become even more remarkable as the projections travel down Main Street, U.S.A. Don’t miss out on this impressive and magical end to your day at Magic Kingdom.

We hope we have convinced you to slow down during your next Magic Kingdom day to enjoy all Main Street, U.S.A. offers. It is where the magic begins.
