Disney Parks

So you have purchased theme park tickets and want to make sure you use them, can you still have fun in the rain? Absolutely!

In Magic Kingdom there are a variety of rides that are inside giving you the chance to experience them.  Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, it’s a small world and so many other favorites are inside out of the rain.

If you are looking for a longer escape from the rain, check out Carousel of Progress, Hall of Presidents, Enchanted Tiki Room and the Country Bear Jamboree.   These shows are longer and will keep you out of the rain storm for a longer period of time.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom and be a little harder during the rain but there are still things to do.

The top rides such as Avatar Flight of Passage, Na’vi River Journey and Dinosaur are all inside.  Guests can also enjoy some of the shows such as Festival of the Lion King and It’s Tough to Be a Bug.

If it isn’t raining too hard, this is a great time to check out the animals to see how they play in the rain.

Nomad Lounge is another fantastic option in Disney’s Animal Kingdom as a place to sit and enjoy a beverage and the rain.  Get there early as it won’t be a unique idea.

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Guests can enjoy a variety of rides and shows during the rain.

For the First Time In Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along is always a top show for us when in Walt Disney World.  This is a great choice not only during the rain but all days.

Walt Disney Presents and Star Wars Launch Bay are also indoor options as is Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy.

For rides, Guest can still enjoy Rock n Roller Coaster, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Toy Story Mania, both Star Wars rides in Batuu as well as Star Tours and don’t forget Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway.

There are lots of options for Guests to experience when it rains in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Even though EPCOT is spread out, there are options for staying dry and they are great.

Both the Seas and Land Pavilions have not only rides such as Soarin and Finding Nemo, but they also offer some education.   The aquariums are fantastic and kids can enjoy them for hours.  And we love Living with the Land as well.

Back in the World Showcase the different countries offer a variety of different displays that are perfect for exploring during a rainy day.  Rainy days are a great time to slow down and take in the amazing details of the countries.

Even if it is going to rain during your Walt Disney World vacation, if you pack that rain gear you will be ready to have a magical time.  There is still so much to see and do even in the rain.  We even have some rides we think are fun in the rain HERE.
