Pack Like the Pros for Walt Disney World

When you are getting ready for Walt Disney World, you might feel like you are packing your whole house for the vacation.

We are here to help you narrow down what you need and to help you pack like a Disney pro.  Check out our list of items that Walt Disney World pros pack for their vacation to the Disney Park. Make sure you have these items on your Disney packing list.

Weather Items

Walt Disney World pros are always prepared for the weather when they are on a Disney vacation.  Depending on when you are visiting Walt Disney World this can mean a variety of different things.

If you head down in the winter months, make sure you are prepared for the cold.  Pros know that it gets cold even in Florida so they are ready with coats, gloves, hats, and scarfs.  Pack those layers so you can bundle up in the morning and evening but enjoy the sun in the afternoon.

For the summer months, you will want to be prepared for the heat and humidity.  Pros bring portable fans, cooling towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats to help protect themselves from the conditions.

Summer and fall months mean rainstorms that you will want to be prepared for when you arrive.  Determine if you want an umbrella, rain jacket, or poncho to combat the rain.

Pros know that these storms can pop up at any time so they have the rain gear ready to go each day of their trip.

Being prepared for the weather is a huge step when it comes to packing for Walt Disney World.  Pros know that being prepared for conditions that can occur can really help keep the trip moving on a positive note.

Portable Chargers

Pros know that a dead phone in Walt Disney World can be extremely frustrating because of how important My Disney Experience is to a successful vacation.

To make sure this doesn’t happen, pros make sure that they pack portable chargers in order to keep their phones charged throughout the day while in a Theme Park.

Not only pack those chargers but make sure you have the cords to go with them. This will also allow you to charge them in your Disney Resort each night.

We highly recommend having a portable charger for everyone that has a phone so a dead battery doesn’t cause a meltdown in the middle of a Disney Park.

Hand Sanitizer

Hand Sanitizer and Wipes

Walt Disney World is doing a fantastic job at keeping surfaces cleaned and having hand sanitizer around; however, pros know that having a stash of your own is ideal.

By having your own hand sanitizer and wipes, you are always prepared for those sticky or messy situations or can quickly get those hands cleaned up before eating.

Pros know that packing these two items is extremely important and will always have them nearby.

Good Shoes

No matter what cute, matching outfits you want to wear, pros know that having comfortable walking shoes is key to a successful Walt Disney World vacation.

Make sure that you pack at least two different pairs of shoes that you can walk miles in easily.  By having two different ones, you are able to trade out if a pair does start to bother you.

Pros also know that they don’t wear brand-new shoes to Walt Disney World.  You want to make sure your shoes are broken in and ready for walking.

Blister Medicine

Pros also make sure to pack blister medicine because no matter how worn in your shoes are, blisters can happen when your feet are hot, wet, and tired.

Pack some blister medicine so if you do find yourself with some sore spots, you can quickly take care of them.  Moleskin, bandaids, and blister medicine can really help save the day.

Water

Making sure you pack water is so important on a Walt Disney World vacation.  Pros bring their own water bottle to help them stay hydrated without having to spend a lot of money on bottled water.

Guests can get free water throughout the Walt Disney World Resort so pros take advantage of this during their vacation.

Snacks

We are well aware that there are tons of options for snacks at Walt Disney World, but pros know that hunger pains don’t always happen when it is convenient.

Knowing this, pros make sure that they have snacks packed and ready to go. It doesn’t matter if you are traveling with all little kids or all adults, having a quick snack on hand can save the day.

Lines for food might be longer than you anticipated, or the line you are in might be taking longer than you thought. Making sure you have some snacks on hand will prevent some meltdowns and even save you some money.

Straws

We know this might seem silly, but pros do have their own reusable straws with them while in Walt Disney World.

Disney World has transitioned to paper straws to help with waste and help the environment. If you have used a paper straw before, you know that it isn’t the best experience. The paper often gets soft and starts to stick together.

Little ones chew on them, making it even less productive. To help with this issue, pros make sure to pack those straws with them for the Park. This helps make those cold drinks a little more refreshing.

Ziploc Bags

Another unique item that pros have them with while visiting Walt Disney World is Ziploc bags.

Ziplocs come in handy for many different reasons while visiting the parks. Use them for anything that gets dirty or wet, or keep your items dry while on water rides.

Also, they are great for any food you might not finish but want to keep for a future snack. Pros often bring a variety of sizes so they can be prepared for all situations.

If you are wanting to pack like a pro, these are the items you will want to make sure you have on your Disney World packing list and with you in Walt Disney World at a Theme Park.  Pros are all about making sure they are prepared for different situations that could come up during their Disney Trip and these items allow them to do just that.
