Ride EPCOT’s Top Rides With Low Waits

We have taken time to look at how to ride the top rides at both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios with low waits.  Today we are going to jump into EPCOT.

EPCOT hasn’t been known for rides in the past; however, with the opening of Frozen Ever After followed by Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in 2021 and Guardians of the Galaxy: Comic Rewind in summer 2022, EPCOT’s ride list is starting to grow.

With the popularity of these rides, comes longer waits; however, we want to provide you with some options on how you can enjoy them with slightly lower wait times during your vacation.

As a review, there are some basic strategies you can use to have lower wait times:

  1.  Arrive early (before Park opening also known as rope drop)
  2. Buy Genie+ Lightning Lane Access ($15/per person per day)
  3. Buy Individual Lightning Lane Access (price ranges from $5 to $15 per ride per person)
  4. Use early entry option (for Disney resort Guests only)
  5. Use extended evening hours (for Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts only starting in April)
  6. Single Rider
  7. Wait until Park close

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure- France Pavilion

The newest ride in EPCOT opened with the 50th Anniversary Celebration back in the updated France Pavilion.  Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure takes Guests on a family-friendly ride through the famous Gusteau’s restaurant.

Since the whole family can ride this ride together, lines get extremely long quickly.  Avoid those lines with one of the options below:

  • Purchase Individual Attraction Selection
  • Use early entry or extended evening hours
  • Hit at Park close
  • Arrive early

If this is a must-do ride for your family, then spending the money on the individual attraction selection might be the way to go to ensure you get to ride.  Otherwise, take advantage of those Disney Resort perks.

Frozen Ever After- Norway Pavilion

Fans of this beloved movie will want to take time to experience Frozen Ever After.  This slow moving boat ride takes Guests through the story of our two favorite sisters.  See favorite friends such as Olaf and Sven as you travel along.

A lot like Pirates of the Caribbean over at Magic Kingdom, this ride gathers crowds quickly and isn’t the fastest loader.  To make sure you aren’t stuck waiting in a long line out in the sun, determine with method would work the best for your family:

  • Purchase Individual Attraction Selection
  • Purchase Genie+ (Between Feb. 25, 2022 – Aug. 7, 2022, the following attractions will be added to Disney Genie+ service)
  • Use early entry or extended evening hours
  • Hit at Park close
  • Arrive early

It seems silly to purchase an individual attraction selection for this ride as we hope we could hit it up early in the morning especially if we are purchasing Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.  We think using those Resort perks on this ride is the way to go.

Test Track– World Discovery

Still one of these most popular rides in EPCOT is Test Track.  Guests create their own car and then test it out in a variety of different situations including high speeds that are thrilling for all.

The lines for Test Track build early in the morning, so this is one you want to have a plan for avoiding long waits.

  • Purchase Genie+
  • Use early entry or extended evening hours
  • Hit at Park close
  • Arrive early
  • Single Rider Line

We recommend picking Test Track as your first Genie+ selection of the day if that is the route you want to go.  Otherwise riding at night under the stars is a lot of fun as well.  If you are a solo traveler or willing to split up your group, consider looking into the single rider line as an option as well.

Soarin’ Around the World-  Land Pavilion in World Nature

A truly amazing ride in EPCOT is Soarin’.  This ride gives Guests the feeling of gliding over a variety of amazing wonders of the world.  From Spaceship Earth in EPCOT to the Great Wall of China, it is a truly immersive and outstanding experience.

Since adding onto the ride, wait times have gone down greatly for Soarin; however, if you are there during a busy time be prepared with one of the options below:

  • Purchase Genie+
  • Use early entry or extended evening hours
  • Hit at Park close
  • Arrive early

After booking Test Track, our next Genie+ selection would be Soarin’.  If you can’t be at EPCOT early or late then Genie+ is our recommendation.

Mission Space

Mission: Space- World Discovery

Mission Space offers two different ride experiences depending on Guests adventure level.  Both sides are to simulate being an astronaut with the green side being less intense than the orange side.

If you are brave enough to ride, use one of the following choices to have a lower wait:

  • Purchase Genie+
  • Use early entry or extended evening hours
  • Hit at Park close
  • Arrive early

For Genie+ you can only ride once during the day so choose your side carefully.

Spaceship Earth

Spaceship Earth- World Celebration

Wrapping up our list with the iconic Spaceship Earth.  We feel that every Guests should ride this classic Disney attraction at least once during their Disney vacation.  Experience how our communication has changed over the years as you travel through time.

For lower waits you can pick an option:

  • Genie+
  • Use early entry or extended evening hours
  • Hit at Park close
  • Arrive early

As lots of people jump right on Spaceship Earth as it is the first ride they see as they come into EPCOT, we recommend coming back later on in the day or waiting until the evening to ride.  If you purchased Genie+, it should be easy to snag a Genie+ for this throughout the day as well.

We hope that this will help you have a great day in EPCOT with less time in line giving you more time to explore the countries throughout World Showcase.

If you are wanting more on Genie+, we have suggestions on what selections to make HERE.
