Is It Even a Disney Vacation If You Don’t Do This?

There is so much to see and do while in Walt Disney World and even though there are some experiences we skip (check out what they are here) there are some things that we must do each and every time we visit the magic.

Take a look at our must do experiences while visiting Walt Disney World and make sure you add them to your Disney planning list today.

Take Pictures With the Park Icons

It doesn’t matter how many times we visit Walt Disney World, we still make sure we take pictures with the Disney icons each and every Disney Park visit.

Cinderella Castle, Tower of Terror, Tree of Life and Spaceship Earth are the four icons that we make sure we snag a picture with each time we visit the Disney Park they represent.

Although we make sure we take the traditional picture in front of the icon, we also have fun getting fun photos from different points of view.  Walking around the Tree of Life or getting a photo from the side of the castle are fun ways to include the Disney Park icon in a different, non-traditional way.

We also like taking photos with the icons at night.  They truly come to life in a whole new way in the evenings and if you can catch the Beacons of Magic, it is even more magical.

Don’t forget those icon photos when you visit Walt Disney World!  What other pictures should you take while on vacation?  Check out our list here.

Visit Mickey Mouse

Another experience that we like to do each and every trip  that we are so glad is back in Walt Disney World is visiting Mickey Mouse.

Mickey has just recently started visiting with Guests one-on-one again and we are thrilled to have this opportunity back in the Theme Parks.

There is something special about seeing Mickey Mouse during a Walt Disney World vacation that is hard to put into words.  It doesn’t matter how many times we say hello, each and every time is special.

Mickey Mouse is currently visiting with Guests in Magic Kingdom at the Town Square Theater  on Main Street USA as well as in EPCOT at the Imagination Pavilion.

Take time to visit Mickey Mouse whether it is your first visit or your 100th visit!

Experience the Transportation

Something that is unique about Walt Disney World is the variety of transportation offered throughout the Walt Disney World Resort Property.  We love taking time during our vacation to experience some of the fun and unique transportation options.

First is the new Disney Skyliner.  The skyliner takes Guests to and from EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios high above the Disney Resort property giving Guests a look at Walt Disney World like never before.  Even if you aren’t staying at a skyliner Resort, we suggest taking time to experience the skyliner.

The most iconic transportation would be the Disney monorail.  This transportation system takes Guests around the Magic Kingdom Resorts as well as to EPCOT.  Like the skyliner, the views from the monorail are truly  magical.

Make sure to take a boat ride as well during your Walt Disney World vacation.  Guests can travel by boat in a variety of different locations throughout Walt Disney World giving them a relaxing trip to a Disney Park or Disney Resort.

Don’t stick only to the buses while in Walt Disney World, but make sure to enjoy the other unique transportation options.

Ice Cream Bar

Eat Something Mickey Shaped

It wouldn’t be a Walt Disney World vacation without having a Mickey shaped treat.  Luckily for Guests there are a variety of different Mickey inspired treats to choose from throughout Walt Disney World.

Guests can enjoy the classic Mickey bars, Mickey pretzels or Mickey ice cream sandwiches at all four Theme Parks as well as at some Resorts.

If these don’t look appealing to you, check out all the different bakery cases as you are sure to find a Mickey inspired treat there to your liking.

Dole Whip

Enjoy An Iconic Treat

While we are on the topic of food, it wouldn’t be a Walt Disney World vacation without eating an iconic Disney treat.

The first one that comes to mind is the iconic Dole Whip.  This pineapple inspired treat is found throughout Walt Disney World now at a variety of different locations in a variety of different flavors.

Guests can choose from the classic dole whip flavor or try out some of the new ones such as coconut or even swirls.

Other classic treats are the popcorn, Mickey bars, pretzels, or even cinnamon rolls found throughout the Parks.

Give those iconic snacks a try while in Walt Disney World.

Enjoy the Moment

This might sound like an easy thing to accomplish but sometimes it can be the hardest to do in Walt Disney World.  Try to take some time to just enjoy the magic all around you while in Walt Disney World.

This might be hanging out on the hub grass in Magic Kingdom or enjoying a walk around the Tree of Life.  There is so much magic around Walt Disney World that sometimes we are too busy rushing from ride to ride to notice.

Allow yourself sometime during your vacation to just enjoy everything around you.  This can be some of the best moments of your vacation.

There are so many magical experiences to see and do throughout Walt Disney World that it is impossible to see and do it all.  We make sure that we experience these things each and every Walt Disney World vacation.  Will you be adding them to your must-do list for your vacation?  Either way we hope you have a wonderful vacation.

Don’t miss these rides during your trip either!
