The BEST Restaurants to Get Breakfast in the Disney Resorts

Disney dining is one of our favorite parts of planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. There are plenty of excellent options for restaurants to enjoy breakfast at in the Walt Disney World Resort. Additionally, many of those are located outside of a Disney theme park. If you hope to enjoy breakfast in a Disney hotel during your next Disney vacation, we recommend you consider the following full-service restaurants.

Ale & Compass

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is just a short walk from EPCOT World Showcase. Inside, you’ll find Ale & Compass. Ale & Compass is open throughout the day to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at the full-service restaurant. Breakfast is our favorite time to dine at Ale & Compass, and it can be enjoyed from 7:30 a.m. through 11 a.m.

Begin your day in a cozy yet stylish lighthouse-inspired restaurant. The menu features a variety of classic breakfast dishes, including waffles, French toast, and omelets. Entrees cost between $14 and $20. However, we prefer to upgrade our breakfast at Ale & Compass every time. For $23, you can enjoy a breakfast buffet with pastries, yogurt parfaits, fruit, cheddar biscuits, and more. You also get a choice of beverage to accompany your breakfast. Choose from coffee, tea, juice, or soft drinks. The breakfast buffet still includes your choice of entrees. You’ll get excellent value for money dining in the Disney restaurant.

Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera

You don’t have to have a Disney Park ticket to meet with Disney characters. Disney’s Riviera Resort is home to Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. While the Disney restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner, favorite Disney characters only join Guests for breakfast. Enjoying a Disney character meal costs extra, but Topolino’s Terrace also offers great food, excellent views, and Disney characters in unique costumes.

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Daisy Duck join Guests for breakfast between 7:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. daily. For $45, adults can choose two entrees from the menu. Choose wisely, as the first plate you order will be larger, while the second plate will be smaller. Meanwhile, children can choose one entree and two sides for $29. As you are seated, you are served a selection of pastries and muffins accompanied by butter, preserves, and chocolate hazelnut spread. Before you leave, take in the stunning views of the Walt Disney World Resort from the outdoor terrace. Afterward, catch the Disney Skyliner to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or EPCOT.

Boma – Flavors of Africa

Do you enjoy a breakfast buffet? If the answer is yes, then you won’t want to miss Boma – Flavors of Africa. Open from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. daily, an African marketplace inspires Boma in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Dine under thatched roofs while savoring the taste of a combination of American and African flavors. Visit the buffet as often as you like, and fill up for the day.

Breakfast at Boma is $35 per adult and $21 per child. Choose from a wide selection of sweet and savory items. Omelets are made to order at the omelet station. Pair your omelet with carved ham, turkey bobotie, and breakfast potatoes. Ensure you save room to enjoy cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, waffles, fresh fruit, and cinnamon-raisin bread pudding. Jambo juice, a.k.a. Passionfruit, Orange, and Guava juice, is available at Boma, so remember to order a glass to enjoy with your breakfast. We love to visit Boma – Flavors of Africa for a late breakfast after making the most of Early Theme Park Hours in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Grand Floridian Cafe

The Grand Floridian Cafe is another excellent spot to get brunch, or ‘Blunch,’ as they say in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Dine in a bright and elegant space with beautiful views of the grounds of the Disney Resort hotel. While an advance dining reservation is recommended, they are only sometimes required to dine in the casual Disney restaurant.

Blunch is served in the Grand Floridian Cafe from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. You can enjoy classic American dishes reinvented for a unique Disney experience. Choose from typical breakfast entrees, or enjoy a two or three-course lunch. We highly recommend the Brioche French Toast at the Grand Floridian Cafe. Dining at the Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast or lunch guarantees a filling meal at a reasonable price. Its close proximity to Magic Kingdom Park makes it a great place to visit without venturing too far from a Disney Park.

Kona Cafe

Are you hoping to enjoy an American classic with a hint of the South Seas? You can enjoy a casual breakfast at Kona Cafe. Located in the Grand Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Kona Cafe allows you to enjoy the tropical ambiance of the Disney hotel.

Breakfast is served in Kona Cafe from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily. If you’ve heard of the famous Disney dish Tonga Toast, this is where to get it. Enjoy banana-stuffed French toast rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with strawberry compote and your choice of breakfast meat. Don’t worry if this doesn’t take your fancy; other great options exist at Kona Cafe.
