10 Rides Adults Will Love in Disney

We are here to tell you that Walt Disney World is not just a vacation destination for kids and families. There are a lot of great experiences for adults to do throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. From magical spa experiences to golfing, adults can have a wonderful time at Walt Disney World.
We have a list of ten rides that adults will love at Walt Disney World. We hope that these ten rides will convince you that even adults can enjoy the magic and fun of Walt Disney World.

10. Space Mountain- Magic Kingdom
Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom is one of the most thrilling rides in Walt Disney World. It is an indoor coaster that blasts Guests through space as they dodge comics, meteors, and more during their space travel. This ride isn’t for the weak as it does toss you around as you zig-zag and dip all over the place. Adults will surely like the thrill of this ride as they fly through the dark.

9. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad- Magic Kingdom
Buckle up for the wildest ride in the wilderness. This runaway train is found over in Frontierland and is a fun and exciting ride for adults. Head into the abandoned mine shafts and travel along the rickety track as your runaway train takes you through the ghost town of Tumbleweed. Although there aren’t any major drops, the speed and turns of this ride make it super fun. You will want to make sure that you hang on tight as it does cause you to slide around as you take those tight turns.

8. Splash Mountain- Magic Kingdom
Also in Frontierland is Splash Mountain. Slow drift along the southern bayou alongside Br’er Rabbit as he searches for his laughing place. Not only does this ride have a fun, entertaining storyline with silly characters and catchy songs, but the variety of drops also keeps riders guessing as to when the big five-story drop will be coming. Adults will enjoy the long ride as well as the thrill of the big drop at the end. Ride this one soon though as we know that it will be transitioning to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure for 2024.

7. Pirates of the Caribbean- Magic Kingdom
By far my favorite ride in Magic Kingdom is Pirates of the Caribbean. This ride is a classic Disney attraction that has it all. Set sail on a voyage back to a forbidden time when pirates ruled the seas. Adults will enjoy taking it all in, from outstanding animatronics to great songs and even some intense moments as they travel along the water. There is so much detail throughout the ride that it might take a few trips on board to catch everything. Keep your eyes open for Captain Jack Sparrow from The Pirates of the Caribbean movies, as you will find him throughout the different scenes.

6. Haunted Mansion– Magic Kingdom
Haunted Mansion is located in Liberty Square and is one of the iconic attractions in Magic Kingdom. A Ghost Host will take you through the different rooms of the haunted estate home to 999 happy haunts. Adults will appreciate the unique technology that is used to bring this story to life.
Adults will have an exciting ride from the ghost host to the ballroom scene as they take in all the details that bring the Haunted Mansion to life. Don’t forget to take time to take in the details outside of the mansion itself. Check out the supernatural, hands-on experiences, and the musical crypt, leaky tomb, and ghostly writer all along the main entrance of the mansion. These small touches help transport Guests into the ride before they even enter.

5. Jungle Cruise- Magic Kingdom
For those adults who like to enjoy jokes, make sure to stop by and take a trip on the Jungle Cruise. This cruise is like no other cruise before as your skipper takes you through the treacherous rivers to explore the wild. As you travel along this 10,000-mile journey, you will want to keep your ears open and be ready to roll your eyes and chuckle as these skippers come prepared with some of the “best” jokes around. Little ones might miss them all, but adults sure will find them funny. This 10-minute attraction is a great way to get off your feet while still enjoying the immersive storytelling of Disney.

4. Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover- Magic Kingdom
The last right we are going to include in Magic Kingdom is the PeopleMover. Located above Tomorrowland, adults can sit back and enjoy a slow-moving 10-minute ride throughout Tomorrowland. Take in the sights of the castle, Tron, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear, Star Traders, and so much more as you relax, enjoy the breeze and get ready to tackle more rides. Don’t forget to catch the models of Progress City, the prototype for EPCOT. This is a great way to see the Park from an extremely unique vantage point.

3. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind- EPCOT
For a thrilling experience, adults will love the newest coaster at Walt Disney World. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a fantastic indoor coaster that uses new ride vehicles that have the ability to rotate riders 360 degrees keeping them in the action at all times.
This is also the first coaster at Walt Disney World that features a reverse launch. Get ready to rock out with the Guardians of the Galaxy on this fantastic ride experience.

2. Expedition Everest- Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Located over in the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest is a high-speed coaster that has all the thrills. Guests are taken up high into the mountains before they rush backward through the mountain, partially in the dark. This coaster has it all with a big drop, fast turns, and of course both the dark and backward features. Adults will love the high thrill of this coaster.

1. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Finally, we have Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This immersive ride takes Guests into the Star Wars story like nothing ever before. Guests are truly part of the story as they work with Rey and others to fight the First Order.
Even if they aren’t Star Wars fans, adults will appreciate the storytelling and amazing details throughout this ride experience.
These are just ten rides that we think adults will enjoy at Walt Disney World. There are so many others that could have been included because Disney isn’t just a place for kids, it is for adults as well.
