Why Being a Disney Adult Is So Much Fun

You might have friends and family who don’t understand your love and passion for everything Walt Disney World. We understand because we do as well. They might question why you visit each year or wear clothing with Mickey on it. If you love Disney and you are a grown adult, we’d like to welcome you to the club. We, too, think being a Disney adult is so much fun, and today, we will explore why.

Wearing Fun Clothes

We first think it is fun to be a Disney adult because of all the cute clothing we can choose from. The Disney Company has done a fantastic job of designing clothing for adults that is cute but also fashionable.

From the amazing spirit jerseys that have taken the Disney fandom by storm to the unique dresses with fantastic prints, we are in love with all the options we have to choose from regarding clothing.

We enjoy bringing some of the Disney magic to work with us daily through what we wear. It is nice that jewelry and clothing aren’t always over the top, making it easy to add just a hint of Disney magic to our daily wardrobe.

All the Mickey-shaped Treats

Being a Disney adult is so much fun because we can have all the Mickey-shaped treats we want. As adults, we can enjoy the adorable pretzels, Mickey bars, and waffles that make us so happy.

As adults, it is up to us to make those snacking decisions, and we like that we can enjoy these magical treats whenever we want at Disney. There is something magical about enjoying a Mickey-shaped snack while sitting in front of Cinderella Castle as Mickey and his friends go by on floats. We highly recommend doing so on your next trip if you have yet to try it.

Merchandise Magic

Another part of being a Disney adult is finding unique merchandise. Even though we would still love to have all the stuffed animals, as adults, we enjoy finding unique Disney-themed items for our homes.

Recently we have enjoyed the Home Collection. This fun collection allows us to bring some Disney magic into our homes with themed bowls, plates, towels, and other kitchen essentials without it being too over the top.

As a Disney adult, it is fun to visit all the special stores throughout the Disney Parks and Resorts to find special and unique items.

Childhood

We like being a Disney adult because it keeps us connected to our childhood. The Disney merchandise is starting to bring back some of our favorite shows, such as Ducktales and Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers. It is fun to remember how much we loved these shows as a kid.

Disney also allows us to connect to our childhood as we travel through different beloved movies and rides, and shows. These magical moments allow us to take a step away from being adults for a little while, and we will always love Disney for that opportunity.

Characters

Disney characters are still the best, even as a Disney adult. It is so wonderful to hug and chatting with some of our favorite pals is so wonderful. We like stopping by and hugging Mickey when visiting Magic Kingdom or chatting with Winnie the Pooh as he catches butterflies in EPCOT.

Characters are a big part of Disney magic and our experience as Disney adults.

Believing in Magic

Finally, it is fun being a Disney adult because of the magic. We have so much stress and work in real life that being a Disney adult allows us a moment to step away from it all. It is so wonderful to have a place where we can laugh, cry, and dream. This Disney magic has us, even as adults, coming back each year to visit.

By believing in the magic and visiting these magical places, we can feel a little restored and refreshed as we head back to reality.

How to Be a Disney Adult

The good thing about being a Disney adult is that any adult can become one. All you have to do is try and believe in yourself.

Start by purchasing some epic Disney clothing and even some Minnie ears. Figure out how Disney accessories you will bring into the Disney Park of choice for the day. Do you need a Loungefly backpack or a new crossbody bag? Do you want to trade pins with others? Get your outfit ready for the day in the Park.

Determine what special Mickey-themed treat or snack you will get in the Park that day. Planning is key to being a Disney adult.

Speaking of planning, make sure you think about if you want to experience a table-service meal. Enjoying a character meal is an excellent way to fully jump into being a Disney adult. There is something truly magical about meals at Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey’s, Tusker House, or Ohana, where you can meet some of your favorite pals.

As a Disney adult, enjoy a slower pace. It isn’t about rushing from ride to ride anymore, but about enjoying the magic around you all the time.

Being a Disney adult is a lot of fun. We love that we can bring a little bit of magic to our daily life and find it wonderful to be a Disney adult in the Disney Parks. It is there that we can step away and believe in the magic. We hope you will join us!
