10 Must-Do Rides Before Leaving Walt Disney World

When visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, there are many attractions to experience. But which attractions should you definitely experience before your Disney vacation ends? We’ve narrowed it down to ten rides you must ride before leaving the Walt Disney World Resort. Here they are!

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Unique to the Walt Disney World Resort, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is located in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom Park. The story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) comes alive as you explore a diamond mine with the dwarfs. You’ll experience a unique ride in a free-swinging cart. Enjoy climbing steep inclines, racing down the mountain, and meandering round hairpin bends in a thrilling family coaster. Your magical experience begins as you enter the line for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Enjoy entertainment throughout the line before you board the Disney ride.

Expect a long line for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train throughout the day. To experience a shorter wait, you’ll want to enter the line during Early Theme Park Entry or at rope drop. Alternatively, use Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

The entire family can enter the cartoon universe with their favorite Disney pals in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto star in their first attraction in a Disney Park. Board a runaway railway that has surprises at every twist and turn. You’ll be left in amazement as the cars move throughout the ride without a track. While lines for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attracts long lines, you’ll be glad you waited to experience it. If you plan to use Disney Genie+ during your visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, aim to secure a Lightning Lane reservation for the Disney attraction.

Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain

Have you ever wanted to come face-to-face with a Yeti? Riding Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the place to do so. Climb to the peaks of the Himalayas before discovering a broken track on the Disney thrill ride. The high-speed train will suddenly go backward, before reaching the top of the largest drop in Walt Disney World. As you descend, enjoy stunning views of Asia in the Disney Park. Before boarding Expedition Everest, the line guides you around a Tibetan village and an explorers’ museum, preparing you for your climb. A single-rider line is available if you are traveling alone. Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane is also available at the attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Toy Story Mania!

Another family ride that all of your party can enjoy is Toy Story Mania in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Board a carnival tram in Toy Story Land, put your 3D glasses on and move through Andy’s room. As you move through the ride, you’ll have the opportunity to play five different games, using a spring-action shooter. Successfully hitting objects will add points to your score. We love how interactive the attraction is. Release your competitive side and compete to see who can get the highest score in your vehicle. Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane is available for Toy Story Mania. However, monitoring line times on the My Disney Experience app during the day can help you to select a time to ride when there is a short wait time.

Get ready to experience a reverse launch, followed by twists and turns as your car rotates 360 degrees. Your ride experience will be accompanied by one of six soundtracks. To ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, purchase an Individual Lightning Lane reservation or secure a boarding group using the Virtual Queue.

While we hope you’ll experience the entire attraction, there is an opportunity to exit before boarding the elevator if the experience gets too much for you.
