Tips for all Games

To begin your gaming experience, you’ll have a practice round. While it’s an excellent way to get used to using your string-action shooter, you won’t score anything for hitting targets in this round. Instead, reserve your energy for the five scoring rounds.

There are plenty of targets to hit in all of the Toy Story Mania games. Successfully hitting a target will add points to your score. To help score highly, you’ll want to aim for the highest-scoring targets. Typically you’ll find them at the top and bottom of the game screen. Likewise, the high-scoring targets are generally moving targets, targets that are further away or those that are smaller in size.

Surprisingly, working with your partner can help you achieve a higher score. Working with one another to hit particular targets can unlock secrets throughout each game, revealing additional higher-scoring targets.

Hamm & Eggs

Hamm & Eggs is your first scoring game when riding Toy Story Mania. In this game, you’ll fire hard-boiled eggs in a barnyard. To get a high score in this game, look out for the following targets:

  • The hen house that is at the bottom left corner. Knock the fox off the house, and you’ll see two hens running out. The hens will provide points continuously throughout the game; you just need to hit their targets.
  • Look out for a cat that will regularly pop up from behind the hen house throughout the game. Successfully hitting the cat will earn you 1000 points per hit.

Rex & Trixie’s Dino Darts

In the second game, you’ll launch darts to pop balloons in a volcanic scene. The game is known as Rex & Trixie’s Dino Darts. Popping long, skinny balloons underneath the volcano will cause it to erupt, releasing 500-point balloons. Hit as many as you can during every eruption.

Throughout the game, look out for meteors that will appear at each top corner of the screen. Work with your partner to hit them three times. Successfully hitting them will cause a meteor shower in the form of balloons. You’ll benefit from the high-scoring balloons that fill the screen. In particular, look out for a 5000-point balloon.

Green Army Men Shoot Camp

You’ll enter the Green Army Men Shoot Camp during the next game. Smash dinner plates with baseballs at the firing range. Look out for moving targets, as that’s the secret to a high score in this attraction round. Watch the top of the screen and aim for flying plates beyond the mountains. Additionally, a plane will fly over regularly with a high-scoring plate attached to its flyer.

Teamwork is helpful during the third game of the attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Look out for the 2000-point plates at the beginning of the game. If you and your partner successfully hit them, you can expect additional high-point plates to appear beyond the rocks.

Buzz Lightyear’s Flying Tossers

You’ll toss rings to catch aliens in Buzz Lightyear’s Flying Tossers. Once you have covered all the aliens in the center of the screen, the ship will launch, revealing a huge robot. You’ll want to aim for its mouth every time it opens. Tossing rings into its mouth will score points that progressively increase; rapid fire to throw as many rings as you can into the robot’s mouth.

Additionally, look for rockets to cover during the game to add more points to your score. Aliens and rockets reappear throughout the game once you have covered them.

Woody’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shootin’ Gallery

The final game of Toy Story Mania is Woody’s Rootin’ Tootin’ Shootin’ Gallery. You’ll feel as though you’re in ‘Woody’s Roundup’ TV show in this part of the attraction. Fire suction-cupped darts at targets, and watch the points available increase as you hit more targets.

You’ll aim to hit targets in the first part of the game. Upon hitting the bullseyes, additional targets will be revealed. Look out for the bunny in the saloon during the game. Hitting it will reveal additional targets.

As the first part of the game ends, your ride vehicle will begin to move slowly. On the screen, you’ll now be aiming for falling mine carts. Aim to hit as many carts as possible before they fall, to see the points available increase. Throughout the game, bats will appear toward the top of the screen. Hitting the bats will increase the points available on the mine carts.

Your final game will begin as you reach the last position in front of the screen. All you have to do is hit one target as many times as you can. The more you hit the target, the higher the points will be worth. If you’re quick enough, you can score 5000 points per hit. Prepare for a sore arm by the end of this round. However, it will hopefully be worth it for your score!

Awards

After the final game, your final score will be confirmed. We recommend having your camera ready to snap a photo so you can demonstrate that you are the best Toy Story Mania shooter in your family. You’ll have every right to brag about your achievement!

You’ll pass by a screen before reaching the station, where you will disembark the ride vehicle. The screen will display the ‘Best In Vehicle’ score for the game you have just played. Additionally, ‘Best This Hour’, ‘Best Today’, and ‘Best This Month’ scores will be displayed. Will you secure any of those incredible achievements during your ride on Toy Story Mania?
