Getting Sick

One of the biggest worries that Guests have during their Walt Disney World vacation is the fear of someone getting sick. Although we all hope this doesn’t happen, there is a lot of support and options throughout Walt Disney World to help Guests who become ill.

If you are in a Disney Park and become ill, head to the first aid station. There are certified nurses at each of these who can provide medicine and basic medical help. There are places to lie down and rest as well. This can be helpful for those that get dehydrated, overheated, or even slightly motion-sick.

If you find yourself or someone in your party needing medical help, there are virtual options through AdventHealth. This partnership is to help provide non-urgent medical needs and services via the AdventHealth App. Guests can schedule a video conference/visit through the app to discuss concerns. AdventHealth can also offer onsite urgent care and medical equipment delivery to Disney Resorts.

Like back home, there are local Urgent Care Centers near Walt Disney World. AdventHealth Urgent Care is open 24/7 near Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista. Disney Cast Members can help Guests navigate transportation if the Urgent Care Center is needed.

Make sure you reach out to Cast Members and ask for help. You won’t be the first or the last Guest to become ill during a Disney vacation. Cast Members will know your options and be willing to help you with the problematic situation.

Good Time

When heading to Walt Disney World, a worry that arises for many of those planning is the fear that everyone is having a good time. It can be stressful to make sure that everyone has a good time.

Keep in mind that it is impossible to ensure everyone has a good time during the vacation. To help with this situation, consider taking time before you head to Walt Disney World to discuss the goals and top experiences everyone in the group would like to focus on. Knowing this will help you plan the day and help everyone understand the overall objectives.

Having an overall plan before you arrive at Walt Disney World, it can help make sure that everyone is on the same page. This can help keep everyone happy by knowing that their top experiences are also on the list for the day.

For those traveling with a bigger group, consider splitting up to tour the Park. Not everyone is going to want to do the same things. Allow the group to split up so the big kids can hit the thrill rides and the little kids can visit those characters. Doing this will keep everyone happy.

Not Enough Rest

Another worry many people have when it comes to their Walt Disney World vacation is if everyone will get enough rest. Rest is super essential for a successful Walt Disney World vacation.

To make sure that everyone gets enough rest, take time to schedule breaks. Take breaks throughout the day to head back to the Disney Resort, swim at the pool, enjoy a meal or evening, step away from the rides at the Park and just sit and enjoy the magic.

When taking a more extended vacation, consider putting in a break day. This can help you slow down and enjoy the magic. The combination of walking, heat, and overstimulation can cause stress. Allow everyone to rest by scheduling those break days throughout the day and the vacation.

You can ensure that everyone gets rest by not making plans to rope drop every morning. We are big fans of getting to the Parks early, but doing it every day of a vacation can be too much. Allow yourself a morning to sleep in and go slow. This can make a big difference.

Food

Making sure that everyone is fed is a big worry during a Walt Disney World vacation. There is always food at Walt Disney World, but sometimes you might not have a lot of options. Be prepared by having a plan.

First, if you want to enjoy table service meals, take time to make dining reservations 60 days before your trip. These can help you slow down and know what your dining plan is ahead of time.

If your family isn’t into table-service meals, you can enjoy quick service options. These can be ordered through the My Disney Experience app. You can place these orders in the morning to ensure your spot throughout the day.

Remember that some dining locations close early, so you will want to check in on operating hours. This is important for Disney Resorts. Know when the dining closes at your Resort, so you aren’t left without food when you return from the Parks.

Guests have some of the biggest worries when heading to Walt Disney World. We hope that bringing them up will help you be prepared if they come up during your Walt Disney World vacation.
