Relaxing

It might seem surprising, but there are relaxing rides that Guests can enjoy throughout Walt Disney World. Each Disney Park offers a few that allow Guests to sit back and relax.

One of our favorite rides to relax on is the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover found in Magic Kingdom. This slow-moving ride takes high above Tomorrowland, and they enjoy the sights and sounds of the land. From an updated look at Tron to an inside view of Space Mountain, the PeopleMover is a top choice when we need to relax.

Right next door to the PeopleMover is another one of our favorite rides to relax on. Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress takes Guests through four decades of transformation. Guests take a seat in the rotating theatre and watch, and progress is made throughout time.

Another relaxing, fun ride is the Gran Fiesta Tour, Starring the Three Caballeros in EPCOT. Inside the Mexico Pavilion, this slow-moving boat ride is a perfect way to step out of the crowds at EPCOT and enjoy some relaxing and air conditioning. Watch Donald as he travels through Mexico, getting into trouble.

Thrilling

If you haven’t been to Walt Disney World before, you might think there are only kiddie rides, but this isn’t the case. Throughout all four Disney Parks, thrill seekers will find excitement.

Rock n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a fast-paced launch coaster that takes Guests on a twisting and turning adventure. You loop, twist, and race your way through the streets of Hollywood.

Climb high into the mountains on Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This might not look like an intense coaster, but it is one of the most thrilling in Walt Disney World. Guests are taken backward through an adventure as they race to avoid the Yeti. The combination of speed, darkness, going back, and a significant drop makes this a thrilling ride.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is the newest thrill ride in Walt Disney World. Found in EPCOT, this reverse launch coaster is the first in Walt Disney World. Get ready for a 360-degree high-speed coaster experience.

Storytelling

Storytelling is an integral part of Disney magic. A few rides truly transform Guests into the story, taking them to galaxies far, far away, and so much more.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is one of the most immersive experiences in Walt Disney World. Guests become part of the Star Wars story as they work with Rey, BB-8, Poe, and others to fight the First Order. This is more than just a ride, it is an experience. Guests move through different ride vehicles as the story unfolds. Those that love a great story won’t want to miss this experience.

Avatar: Flight of Passage is another ride that transforms Guests into a story. Here they ride a banshee as they explore the breathtaking land of Pandora. Amazing views of the land will leave riders breathless as they experience this moving story.

Classic

If you want to ride some classic rides at Walt Disney World, there are so many that you can choose from throughout the Disney Parks.

Dumbo, the Flying Elephant, is one of the most iconic rides in all of Walt Disney World. This photo was on all the advertisements and the video that played in all the commercials. If your goal is to experience the classic rides during your trip, then Dumbo is one that you will want to take time to visit.

Another classic in Magic Kingdom is that it’s a small world. This ride is loved by many, and no matter what you feel about it, it is a classic Disney ride. Enjoy the slow-moving boat ride as you visit the different countries of the world and see how we are all one.

Finally, don’t miss out on the Haunted Mansion when visiting the Magic Kingdom. Enjoy the happy haunts as you travel through this extraordinary story.

Step Into the Movies

One of the beautiful things about visiting Walt Disney World is that we can step into the movies we have grown to love. Throughout the Parks, some rides take Guests right into the stories they have grown up with.

Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure shrinks Guests down to the size of Remy as they race through the kitchen, trying to stay out of trouble. This new, trackless ride puts Guests right in the middle of the movie.

Fans of Frozen will love taking a boat ride on Frozen Ever After as they travel through Arendelle to visit all their favorite friends. From Sven and Olaf to the sister duo of Elsa and Anna, everyone has gathered together.

In Magic Kingdom, numerous rides put Guests right in the middle of their favorite Disney story. We love Under the Sea- Voyage of the Little Mermaid and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh Both have us smiling as we love the magic of seeing our favorite characters, songs, and stories come to life.

So which ride is going to be your favorite? Are you a thrill seeker or prefer to relax and take in the sights? No matter what you want to do during your trip, you will find a magical experience.
