Our Top Table Service Around Disney- We Pick Only One

Experiencing a good meal at Walt Disney World is part of what makes these vacations magical.  There are so many different table service options throughout the four Disney Parks, Disney Springs, and the Disney Resorts that it might be hard to choose where to eat.

We are going to give you our top choice in each of the four Disney Parks, Disney Springs, and a few bonuses at Disney Resorts.  This should help you plan your dining so you are ready to make those dining reservations when it comes time to do so at 60 days.

Magic Kingdom

There is a handful of well-known table service locations throughout Magic Kingdom including the iconic Cinderella’s Royal Table and the beautiful Be Our Guest where Guests dine in the Beauty and the Beast movie.

Although these dining locations are beautiful and fantastic, they currently aren’t going to be our top choice at Magic Kingdom.  For our Magic Kingdom pick, we are going to choose Jungle Navigation Co Skipper Canteen in Adventureland.

We love the atmosphere of this restaurant as it connects to the Jungle Cruise. There are three different dining rooms that you can experience: Mess All, Jungle Room, and S.E.A. Room, all with hidden secrets.

Skipper Canteen is a hidden gem in Adventureland. Most Guests don’t even know that it is there, making a dining reservation easier to get. The food is unique and brings in exotic flavors from around the world, but it still has options for even the pickiest eaters. We love taking a break in the afternoon for a meal at Skipper Canteen so we can get out of the heat and crowd.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios hasn’t always been known for the dining options it provides Guests.  Although the table service options have always been better than the quick service options here, there was still a lot left to be desired.

In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the table service meals are all about the theming.  For us, we like the theming and comfort food at 50’s Prime Time Cafe.   Located around Echo Lake in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, 50’s Prime Time Cafe offers more comfort food that is delicious. Open for lunch and dinner throughout the day, we find the food choices excellent and prices reasonable.

The whole theme is focused around a 1950s kitchen where your aunt and uncles are cooking up a storm.  They will be reminding you of your manners, to finish those veggies, and to put that phone away during the meal.

The 1950s decor is so interesting to see, and many kids will find it all so fascinating. Start with a shark and end with warm apple pie, and you won’t be sorry. We love the sampler platter that allows us to enjoy a little taste of the fried chicken, meatloaf, and pot roast. Don’t overlook 50’s Prime Time Cafe when looking for a great meal in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Tiffins

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Where Disney’s Hollywood Studios struggled in the quick service area, Disney’s Animal Kingdom has some great quick service options.  Because of this, we often skip out on sit-down meals here.  As we look at all the table service options at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, our number one choice would be the signature dining location of Tiffins.

The atmosphere inside Tiffins is truly breathtaking as it feels like an adventure club where travel is everywhere. Take time to explore the beautiful photographs, paintings, and sketches that Disney Imagineers have used to bring Disney’s Animal Kingdom to life.

This is a signature dining location within Disney’s Animal Kingdom and is an adventure of culinary experiences that brings cuisine from Africa and Asia.  Keep in mind that because it is a signature location, prices will be higher than other restaurants.  Check out Nomad Lounge next door if you are wanting to experience the atmosphere of Tiffins without the price.

EPCOT

EPCOT is known for all the delicious food options throughout the World Showcase.  With all the festival food throughout the year, there is so much to choose from.  In EPCOT, it really depends on what you are wanting for food and experience.

For us, one of the top dining experiences in EPCOT is Space220.  Located in the new World Discovery.  Space220 offers lunch and dinner using a prix fixe menu.  This isn’t just a meal but an experience. The journey begins when you board a space elevator that ascends into the stars and takes you to the space station dining.

The menu at Space220 is unique and offers fun, space-inspired dishes such as space greens or blue moon cauliflower. Make sure to try out the special drinks, celestial cosmopolitan or the planetary punch, that are brought to your table for some fun.

Even though it is a hard dining reservation to get, it is a great experience for Guests.

Disney Springs

There are so many fantastic dining options throughout Disney Springs that it is hard to choose just one table service meal.  When looking at all the options, we landed on Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’.  With amazing comfort food, we love all the drinks and food options that we can get here.

The amazing chicken and donuts are a favorite, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Consider sharing some of the starters, such as the thigh-high chicken biscuits or church lady-deviled eggs so you can have dessert. The hummingbird cake is delicious, as is the shine cake that has moonshine syrup! Don’t forget to try out some of the signature moonshines.

If you happen to be in the area on the weekend, you can also try out the outstanding brunch.  This is one of the hardest dining reservations to get because of all the great drinks and food options.

Disney Resorts

The Walt Disney World Resorts offer some of the best dining experiences throughout all of the Walt Disney World properties.  From California Grill where you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks to Sanna and Jiko where giraffes and zebras walk around, there are so many to choose from.

For us, we think the breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riveria Resort is our top choice for a table service location at a Disney Resort.  Called Breakfast a la Art with Mickey & Friends, Guests get to experience a fantastic meal along with Mickey and friends.

The meal has great pastries and then wonderful entrees to pick from.  While enjoying a meal, Mickey and friends walk around to greet Guests in their adorable Riviera-inspired outfits that Guests can only see at this meal.  There is something truly magical about starting your day with Mickey.

Meals are a huge part of the Walt Disney World vacation experience.  There are so many great options to choose from, we hope that this will help you as you are making your choices.
