More Magic Yet to Come To Walt Disney World

There are so many magical experiences in Walt Disney World from rides to shows to hanging out at a Disney Resort.  The most exciting part- more magical experiences are coming in the future to the Walt Disney World Resort.

We have already seen a lot of exciting new options open over the last few months.  Space 220 and Steakhouse 71 are two new dining locations that have taken Disney by storm, impressing Guests with the food and atmosphere.

It is fun to see so much of the magical entertainment returning to Disney as well.  In Magic Kingdom the Festival of Fantasy Parade is back dazzling Guests once again.  Also back in the Magic Kingdom in the castle stage show.  Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire brings singing and dancing to the hub throughout the day.

Let’s take a look at some of the magical experiences that will be coming in the future at Walt Disney World.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

We are thrilled that this new coaster will be coming to EPCOT this spring (maybe Memorial Day Weekend) for Guests to enjoy.

Guests will be able to chase through space and time on this new technologically advanced ride. There have been some sneak peeks at the Wonders of Xandar Pavilion, and we are thrilled with what we have seen so far.

This new ride will feature a new type of roller coaster experience called a story coaster. The ride vehicle will rotate 360 degrees making sure the riders are always focused on the fun, thrilling action as they are helping the Guardians save the galaxy.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will also feature the first reverse launch in Disney history and is one of the longest enclosed coasters in the world. We can’t wait to see how this new magical experience will allow us to dream and connect with experiences out of this world.

Play Pavilion

We are excited that the new Play Pavilion will also be coming to EPCOT in the future.  This interactive play area will allow Guests to interact with some of their favorite characters.

Located in the Wonders of Life area in EPCOT, this new play area will bring new technology that will allow Guests to have a fantastic time with their beloved characters.

Connections Cafe & Eatery

EPCOT is also getting a new quick-service restaurant that will be called “Connections Cafe and Eatery”.  This new location will be in the World Celebration neighborhood and seems to be replacing what was Electric Umbrella.

There is no opening date for this location; however, having another quick service location in this part of EPCOT will be fantastic for Guests during their visit.

EPCOT’s Birthday

Even though we are currently celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th, EPCOT will turn 40 on October 1st, 2022.

We anticipate a lot of fun, exciting happenings to be announced to help EPCOT celebrate this big anniversary. We hope to see new rides, entertainment, dining, and shopping coming to EPCOT as we get closer to the fall of 2022.

Wondrous China

It would be easy to forget this announcement, but previously Disney announced a series of new films that would be coming to EPCOT in the future.

We have seen the addition of the Beauty and the Beast sing-along to France and the new Awesome Planet Guests can enjoy in The Land Pavilion. However, we are still waiting on Wondrous China to replace Reflections in the China Pavilion. We have been waiting for almost a year for this new film but have not heard anything official from Disney.

Round Up Rodeo BBQ

We have known that a new dining location would be coming to Andy’s backyard in Toy Story Land located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and now we have a timeline.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ will be opening in 2022!  This family-friending table service experience will surround Guests in a variety of toys, games and play sets that Andy has brought together to create a lot of fun.

A full rodeo will be in place as Guests enjoy a western town and train station with surprising, fun Pixar characters.

Even though we don’t have a specific date for opening, we can’t wait to experience this new dining option in Toy Story Land.

TRON Lightcycle Run

Over in the Magic Kingdom, we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the newest thrill ride TRON Lightcycle Run. We have been watching the construction of this coaster over the last few years and are so happy to see the progress.

Disney has yet to announce an opening date for TRON; we are hopeful that we will be riding in the next year. Even though we know what to expect overall from this ride, as it is coming from Shanghai Disneyland, we can’t wait to get a firsthand experience in the Magic Kingdom.

Finding Nemo- The Big Blue and Beyond

We are looking forward to diving into a new show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom as Finding Nemo The Musical gets an update in 2022.  This new show will still feature the puppets and singers as well as some of our favorite songs, but will focus more on Dory.

We can’t wait to once again see these amazing performers on the stage.

It is so much fun to know that more magic is still coming to Walt Disney World in the future.  We look forward to all the new dining, rides and shows that will be coming in 2022 and beyond.

What are you looking forward to the most?
