Make Sure You Have These Disney Hotel Room Essentials

Staying in a hotel room for a week can be a fun and wonderful experience; however, if you aren’t organized it might not feel that way.

We have a few essential items for your hotel room that will help make your stay in Walt Disney World that much smoother and more magical.

These small items might seem like no big deal; however, they make a huge difference in keeping your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room clean and functional during your Disney vacation.

We don’t travel without these items and we don’t think you should either.

Travel Hamper

No one wants to think about laundry during vacation, but it comes with the territory.  Keep your dirty clothes separate and organized by bringing a pop-up hamper.

These are small and easy to pack as they fold up nicely.  They also fit nicely in the bathrooms in Walt Disney World Resort hotels.

Having these makes it easy for everyone to toss their dirty, sweaty Theme Park clothes into the hamper. Then, it’s easy to grab the hamper and go to the laundry area or toss it into your luggage on your way home.

Make sure you toss in a travel hamper to keep stinky clothes separate from clean clothes.

Powerstrips/USB Ports

Cell phones, smart watches, cameras, iPads, and so much more will need to be charged each night (and sometimes in the middle of the day), making having enough ports important.

As important as My Disney Experience is for a Walt Disney World vacation, keeping all cell phones charged will be extremely important.

Even though Walt Disney World has done a great job adding extra charging areas as rooms have been updated; however, we still always feel like more is better.

Toss in a powerstrip or USB port to ensure you are always connected.

Snacks

We know that Walt Disney World seems to have snacks around every corner, but we have also been back in our Walt Disney World Resort hotel room and found ourselves hungry with no options.

Don’t be stuck in the position by tossing in some snacks for those late night munchies. Individual goldfishes, pretzels, or other small snacks are important to have on hand both in the Resort as well as in your Disney Park Bag.

Snacks are always something we make sure we have in our Resort room so we don’t get hungry!

Medicine

You can always find medicine at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks or at your Walt Disney World Resort, but if you bring it with you it can save you money and stress if you find yourself needing it.

Make sure you bring items like sunscreen, aspirin, stomach medicine, bandaids, blister items as well as any other items that you normally use back at home.

By having these items in your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room, it will make it a lot easier if needs for these items arise.

White Noise Machine

If you are a light sleeper or have little ones that are used to quiet when they sleep, consider bringing along a white noise machine.

Having a white noise machine in the hotel room can be a lifesaver as it will help drown out the noise of the other rooms or the hallways/walkways as Guests come back from the Disney Parks.

White noise machines are also super helpful if you have little ones that need to take afternoon naps.

You can also look into white noise apps; however, if you are worried about your phone staying charged, you might want to purchase a white noise machine instead.

Cloth Cubes

Another item that we find super helpful when it comes to keeping our Walt Disney World Resort hotel room organized are cloth cubes.  These are great to have throughout the Resort room to keep items organized.

We like to use one by the door for sunglasses, magicbands and other items we want to grab at the last minute as we run out the door.

The bathroom is another area where we put these cubes as a place to hold toiletries that might just sit on the counter.  We also use them to put clothes in for the next day.  This makes it easy for everyone to grab them in the morning and be ready to head out.

There are a lot of different ways to use these to help yourself keep organized in your Disney hotel room.

Soap and Hand Sanitizer

This might seem strange as there is obviously soap in the Disney Resort room, but it will be bar soap. If you prefer liquid soap or know that your kids will wash up better with liquid soap, you will need to bring it with you.

Disney does a great job of having hand sanitizer around, but we still recommend having it on hand in your Resort room. It is nice to be able to quickly clean your hands when coming in or heading out.

These aren’t probably as essential as some of the other items on our list, but you should still consider adding them to make life in the resort a little easier and cleaner.

We hope that knowing about these essential items for your Walt Disney World Resort hotel will help you remain organized during your Disney vacation. Having these items is a nice way to keep everything picked up and to keep track of where items are in the room.

We have more information on packing HERE if you are also looking for help on that.
