Deliver Items to Your Resort

It is not a secret that Walt Disney World food is expensive. To save some money on snacks, water, and other essentials like those must-have Cheerios or goldfish, consider having a grocery delivery service drop some items off at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel for you.

This is a great way to get some of those snack items without having to haul them through the airport or worry about them getting crushed in your suitcase. There are a variety of different delivery services that can bring items to your Resort , saving you some time and money.

Look into options like Instacart, Amazon Prime Now, Walmart, Garden Grocer and others that offer a delivery option. Double check their delivery fees and know that you might be charged a small fee at your Resort for holding it or for getting it for you.  This seems to vary by hotel and Cast Members.

In order to have items sent to your Walt Disney World Resort hotel, just look up the official address for the hotel and then make sure you add “Guest” and then your full name. This is how the Resort Cast Members will know it is for you.

Bring In Snacks and Water

If you have been to sporting events, concerts, or local amusement parks, you might be used to the “no outside food or drink” rule at these locations. Luckily, this is not the rule at Walt Disney World.

Guests are able to bring in their own food or drink which is a great option if you are looking to save some money or have little ones that are constantly snacking. Guests aren’t allowed to bring in alcohol, glass containers, loose ice or anything that would need reheating.

Bringing in your own refillable water bottles or water bottles you have delivered can save you a lot of money throughout your Disney vacation.  We also like having quick snacks for those meltdown moments that seem to happen in the middle of a line for a ride.

Think about what good items you could bring into the Disney Parks to save money and time when you need a little snack.

It Will Rain

As much as we would like to think Walt Disney World is in a magical bubble, weather still happens within the magic.  Chances are good that if you go to Walt Disney World for a week, you will probably see rain during that time.

Be prepared by bringing rain items from home so you don’t have to spend money on ponchos at Disney. Head to the dollar store in your area and pick up some cheap ponchos that you can easily toss in your park bag (see what else we toss in our park bag HERE). You can easily use them and toss them when they are all wet and gross.

If you don’t like ponchos, consider cute raincoats or umbrellas to keep yourself dry.  We also recommend having extra shoes back at the Resort because wet socks and shoes are absolutely no fun and can cause blisters.

We also like to toss in Ziplocs or plastic bags to keep our bags and items dry.

Those rainstorms can catch you off guard, so be prepared with some items in your Park Bag that you can quickly grab and keep on moving.

My Disney Experience App

Practice With My Disney Experience

My Disney Experience is Walt Disney World’s official app and an essential and vital part of your Walt Disney World vacation.  We go into detail about the features of the app and how you can use it HERE but know you can do a lot before you even arrive at Walt Disney World.

Because this app is so important to your vacation, we highly recommend you take time to navigate it before arriving.  Look at the wait times, see how you can find bus times at your resort, check out the mobile ordering options. These are all going to be a big part of your vacation and knowing how you can do it before you walk on to Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom will save you some stress.

Enjoy Your Resort

Everyone knows about Walt Disney World’s four Theme Parks; however, the Walt Disney World Resorts are just as magical and as fun. Take some time while on vacation to enjoy your Walt Disney World Resort.

When you check-in, you can find a Resort activities guide and see what fun options are available during your stay.  They usually include crafts, movies, and pool activities for everyone to enjoy.

Taking time to enjoy the Resort is a great way to relax during a Walt Disney World vacation and a fun way to hang out as a family.

Ship Things Home

Another tip that many people don’t know is that you can ship items home directly from Walt Disney World. If you find yourself at the end of the vacation with an overflowing suitcase, know that you can ship all those souvenirs right to your front steps.

You can do this directly from the different shops within the Theme Parks or from your Disney Resort.

This is a great way to save some money on luggage fees and to ensure that things get home safe from the magic.

It Takes Time

Walt Disney World is huge, so make sure you are aware that it will take some time to get from place to place. Even when staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you will have a 10-15-minute commute to the different Theme Parks.

If you have dining reservations or want to hit early entry or rope drop, plan for transportation. You don’t want to feel rushed going from place to place the whole time. Schedule extra buffer time to enjoy the trip instead of being stressed.

Relax

That leads us right to our final big tip and trick: RELAX!  You are on vacation, so make sure that you take some time to relax and breathe in the magic. Take some time on the hub grass at Magic Kingdom to just enjoy the castle’s beauty. Catch a show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or explore the hidden treasure at EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

There is so much more to Walt Disney World than the rides, so relax and enjoy those magical moments and experiences during your Disney vacation.

We know these aren’t life-altering tips and tricks, but they are important before your Walt Disney World vacation. Being prepared with these tips will help you have a better experience at Walt Disney World.
