Not Exploring the Pavilions

One of the biggest mistakes that Guests make when visiting EPCOT is that they rush through the World Showcase. We are often so focused on our to-do list that we forget to slow down and take in the fantastic beauty of the World Showcase.

As you work your way from Remy’s Ratotoulie Adventure in France to Frozen Ever After in Norway, slow down and explore the pavilions. Each of the pavilions throughout the World Showcase have so much to offer. Each has unique shops to explore, and many have special displays that help teach about the country.

Explore the different countries as you make your way around the World Showcase. Visit the fantastic shop in Japan, explore the gardens in Canada, and see the displays and shows that are available in the American, China, and France pavilions.

Don’t make the mistake of passing all these beautiful countries by during your EPCOT day. Enjoy the details that make them so unique.

Booking Table Service Meals

EPCOT has so many outstanding table service meals throughout the Park. From the new Space 220 to the beloved Le Cellar, Rose and Crown, and San Angel Inn, EPCOT provides Guests with numerous table service options.

One mistake that Guests make when visiting EPCOT is that they feel like they have to enjoy a table service meal. Although they are fantastic experiences, you won’t have to book a table service meal to enjoy great food at EPCOT.

Enjoy some booths if you visit during a festival, which is the majority of the year at EPCOT. These small plates are a great way to enjoy a unique cruise without having a large meal.

Many of the countries also have top quick service locations. Try the fish and chips at Yorkshire Country Fish Shop in the UK Pavilion. Have some great empanadas at La Haciencda de San Angel. We also like some new options at Connections Eatery and the Regal Eagle barbecue.

Avoid booking many table service meals you don’t need when visiting EPCOT. Enjoy the festival booths or some excellent quick-service locations throughout the Park.

Not Using Motion Sickness Medicine

Many people talk about the big coaster, such as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Still, a good handful of EPCOT rides can also cause motion sickness.

When heading to EPCOT, make sure that you take steps to help yourself battle motion sickness if that is something you struggle with. It might surprise you to have issues on some rides.

Mission Space is the main EPCOT ride that can cause many motion sickness issues. There are two versions of this ride to help lessen the impact by offering a less intense experience.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is the newest ride to bring some motion sickness concerns to some Guests in EPCOT. This new indoor coaster Disney Imagineers calls an omnicoaster rotates Guests towards the action throughout the ride. This motion, combined with screens, can cause issues for many Guests.

Finally, it might be surprising to find out the family-friendly Remy’s Ratotoulie Adventure causes some motion sickness for Guests. The combination of screens and the trackless ride can cause some people to be uncomfortable.

Take some time before you head to EPCOT to take some motion sickness medicine before heading on some of the rides.

Skipping the Interactive Areas

As we often get wrapped up in rushing from ride to ride, it is easy to skip right past all the interactive areas that make EPCOT special. Throughout EPCOT, you can find areas that allow imaginations and Guests to explore.

These areas are often after a ride making it easy to skip past on your way out. Spaceship Earth and Journey Into Imagination with Figment have interactive places for Guests to explore.

The whole Seas Pavilion is full of fun experiences. Not only can Guests take time to explore the enormous aquarium, but they can also play at Bruce’s Shark World.

EPCOT also has a few outdoor play areas that are excellent areas for kids to run around and have fun.

These interactive areas are part of what makes EPCOT special and unique as a Theme Park. Don’t skip over these areas.

Don’t rush by them when you are visiting. Take time to enjoy the show. You won’t be sorry.
