Walt Disney World is home to a large collection of classic and iconic rides, ranging from slow-moving dark rides like Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion to thrilling, high-speed roller coasters like Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain.

However, while classic rides are always fun, Disney continues to set the bar high with newer, more modern attractions. In 2023, TRON: Lightcycle / Run opened at the Magic Kingdom, marking a new era for the theme park as a whole. The ride is fun and fast, blending immersive storytelling elements with a fast-paced thrill ride adventure.

Other new experiences, like Disney’s Guardians of the Galaxy ride at EPCOT, continue to impress, showing Disney’s dedication to creativity and innovation. New rides are the lifeblood of any theme park, and Disney has announced several more experiences are on the way.

However, few projects are as exciting as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which will open in just a few weeks.

Disney officially unveiled Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in 2020, announcing that this new ride would replace Splash Mountain at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. This decision came as quite a shock to a lot of fans, with many considering Splash Mountain to be one of Disney’s best attractions.

The Walt Disney Company faced immense backlash for closing Splash Mountain, prompting outrage from fans. The decision proved to be so controversial that a petition was started in an attempt to “Save Splash Mountain.”

Disney has kept details about the ride’s interior top secret, but as the opening date inches closer, more and more information is being revealed about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Earlier this year, Disney shared an up-close look at some of the impressive animatronics guests will be able to spot inside the ride.

Guests can also spot glowing bottles at the top of the final drop, which indicate they will be passing by Mama Odie during the ride’s climax.

With just weeks away, guests are itching to get more details about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, with Disney now potentially revealing more about the new ride in a very unexpected way.

Guests staying at the Disneyland Hotel in California have the option to book deluxe rooms themed to The Princess and the Frog (2009). This film is what Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is based on, with the ride taking guests on a new adventure set after the events of the animated film.

As stated earlier, details regarding the attraction’s interior are scarce, but guests staying in one of these rooms may notice a very intriguing piece of new artwork. On one of the walls inside the deluxe room, a large painting depicts what appears to be the final lift hill inside Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Twitter user @JohnCardVanDam snapped a photo of this artwork.

Everybody should take a look at this new piece of art hanging in the Tiana Princess and the Frog themed Deluxe Studio rooms at Disneyland Hotel. This most likely shows the final lift hill of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.. note madam Odie’s chair, the bottles and mist at end of tunnel

Mama Odie’s chair and hanging bottles can be seen in the artwork. A track leading into a distant outcove can also be spotted. While not yet confirmed, this is most likely the first official representation of what guests will see when they ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure later this year.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens on June 28, 2024, at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Disneyland’s opening date has not yet been revealed.

Will you be riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on opening day?
