Your ‘Disney Hack’ Is Only Good For Getting People Banned

You’ve probably noticed that Disney World can be a little prickly about security, and for good reason. Every guest that enters the theme parks must pass through a metal detector, have their bags searched, and then willingly give up their fingerprints before they’re even allowed to walk through the gates. But even with all that security, guests will still try, for some reason, to sneak banned items past Walt Disney World Security.

Disney has a pretty extensive list of items banned from its parks. Some of them, like firearms, make sense, while for others, like fireworks, there is clearly a story behind them that we’d all like to know. But despite that security and a complete list of items you cannot bring into the parks, some guests still try to sneak banned items, like alcohol, into the parks, and now they’re paying the price for it.

In a TikTok video that was viewed more than 3.4 million times, user @nessa.gado decided to show the world her sister trying out a hack for getting alcohol past Disney security. She emptied large chip containers and replaced the chips with booze. And we’re not talking about small bottles but entire cans of beer.

But they didn’t realize that this “hack” has been online for a while, and Disney security has access to the same videos as everyone else in the world. Her sister was caught with illegal alcohol and banned from the parks. Some users commented on the fact that Disney security has caught on and has been shaking the chip containers for years. One user posted that he was trained in 2014 and that shaking Pringles cans was part of the training, even back then.

And now, because of this Walt Disney World “hack,” she is banned from the parks, but what exactly does that mean?

Banned From the Parks

Walt Disney World is a private company. They are free to remove and ban anyone they choose from their property. You do not have the right to do whatever you want just because you paid a ton of money to be there. That’s not how this works. Also, your Constitutional Rights are not infringed upon if Disney bans you.

Disney World has its rules. If you break those rules, they can ban you from any of their properties. Again, the Walt Disney Company is a private business. They don’t answer to you. They can choose to ban whomever they please.

You must wait at least one year after the ban was enacted before you can even try to appeal. You must write a letter to Disney’s Security Department and the Legal Council for the Parks. This is why a legal professional might better handle this. Writing the letter yourself isn’t going to move the needle. You must hire a legal professional in the Orlando area who has previously dealt with these complaints.

It’s pretty easy for Walt Disney World to enforce these bans. See previous statements about security. You are also on camera everywhere you go in the Walt Disney World Resort, and security keeps a record of everyone who has been banned.

Some parents have tried to hack the height requirement system by forcing their children to wear platform shoes but faced immediate backlash online. Commenters blasted the shoe hack for putting young children at risk.

But these “ultimate theme park hack” tricks rarely work. Disney theme park security is thorough and pays attention to what’s happening online.

So, the next time you head to a Disney park, leave the hacks at home, or else you could be banned, too.
