Did You Pack These Things For Disney?

Making sure you have everything you need for a successful Walt Disney World vacation can be stressful.  Trying to determine exactly what you need on your Disney packing list and don’t need can be tough.

The best way to avoid major issues is to prepare ahead of time.  We are going to share some of the items that you will want to make sure you have packed for your Disney vacation.  Having these items will make your trip that much better overall.  Some of them you might already know about, while others you might not have thought of.  Either way, we hope that this will help you as you prepare for your Walt Disney World vacation.

Chaffing Stick

This might seem silly, but trust us you will want to make sure you have a chaffing stick along for your trip.  You will walk more miles than you think is possible throughout your Disney vacation.  Combine all the walking with heat and humidity, things will rub and cause discomfort.

These sticks work great for preventing chaffing and also help blisters from forming if you use them where shoes might rub as well.  Even if you normally don’t use a chaffing stick, you will want to make sure that you toss it in for Disney.  Your body will thank you.

Stain Removing Stick

No matter how much you try to be careful while eating, chances are good that you will spill something during your Disney vacation.  If you don’t have time to do laundry, having a stain removal stick like Tide to Go can be extremely helpful.  This is a quick and easy way to clean up those spills that are bound to happen during a trip.

Ponchos

No matter what the weather says, make sure that you pack those rain ponchos.  Rain storms pop up suddenly at Walt Disney World.  Having these small ponchos tossed in your Disney Park bag can save you during a quick rainstorm.  You can easily toss them on and keep enjoying the day.

Large Cords

Even though you probably will remember to bring your charging cords, we recommend investing in some larger ones.  Having a few 10-feet long cords can really help you keep your devices charged while using them in bed or on a chair.  It is always nice to have a little extra room to move around.

Laundry Bag

Being able to keep your dirty clothes organized and separate from your clean clothes is amazing.  It makes it easy to keep the room clean and makes packing that much easier.  Toss in a laundry bag for a way to make all of this possible.  They are extremely small and don’t take up much room but can be super helpful to keep everything organized.

Pain Medicine

Make sure you carry some over-the-counter pain medicine as you travel to Walt Disney World.  With the combination of traveling, new weather conditions, and lots of walking and heat, you might find you have some aches you typically don’t.  Having some medicine on hand can allow you to keep enjoying the fun.

Small First Aid Kit

You never know when you might need a bandaid or other first aid items.  Even though Walt Disney World has first aid stations throughout the four Disney Parks, it is nice to have these items with you when a problem arises.

Get a first aid kit that not only has a variety of bandaid sizes, but also some alcohol wipes.  These two items are going to be the top items you might need while in Walt Disney World.  Little ones tend to get scraps and bumps even while in the magic.

Digital Travel Scale

This might seem silly, but you will appreciate having it when you get ready to pack up all those souvenirs.  These small scales are easy to pack and can easily help you save money by preventing your suitcase from going over the required weight.  Being super easy to use, it makes packing up all those Minnie Ears a lot less stressful.

Charger

We mentioned bringing larger charging cords, but make sure you also pack those portable chargers.  My Disney Experience is so important to navigating the Disney Parks throughout your Disney vacation that you won’t want to end with a need cell phone.  Have those portable chargers in your Disney Park bag so you are always connected and charged.

Ziplocs

We also would suggest having a few Ziploc bags packed.  These can be super helpful when going on water rides or when the rain starts up.  You can easily toss your cell phone and other important items into these to keep them dry.

We also like bringing larger Ziplocs for clothes that might get wet or for dry clothes we like to bring along for the day.  This keeps everything organized in our bag which is always important.

Water and Snacks

Finally, don’t forget to have water and snacks for everyone.  Although there are snacks and water everywhere if you want to save some money bring your own.  Guests are allowed to bring these items into the Parks.  It is a great way to save some money, but also prevent those meltdowns with snacks that are needed right now.

Packing for Walt Disney World is a lot of work.  Trying to determine what you do and don’t need for your Disney vacation can be hard to do.  We hope that by providing these items, you will feel better prepared for packing successfully for your trip to Walt Disney World.  These are items that we always bring with us on our trips and we think that they will help you during yours as well.
