We all want our Walt Disney World vacation to be unique and magical. Spending hours planning and thinking about where we want to stay, what dining we wish to experience, and what rides we will rush to first is all part of the fun.

10. Build the Anticipate at Home

Part of the Walt Disney World fun is the planning and anticipation. Before you head down for your trip, take time at home to get excited about it. There are many ways to get everyone in the Disney spirit before you go.

We love having themed nights. Pick a Disney or Pixar theme like Toy Story and watch the movie, play games, and have food all around Toy Story. You could also take time to create matching shirts, a countdown, or have fun parties.

Even if you are all adults going to Walt Disney World, a fun countdown can be a great way to help you stay excited about the trip. Look into a phone countdown for another way to help keep the excitement up for your trip.

9. Plan One Sit-Down Meal

Even if you are saving money or don’t prefer sit-down meals, consider adding some magic by booking one table service meal. Consider a fun character meal with little ones or a unique dining experience if you are going as a couple.

These experiences are worth the extra money and add great magic to your trip. Now with the Disney Dining Plans back, you can always use these to prepay for your dining.

8. Pack With Low Stress

As you prepare for your vacation, don’t stress out about packing. Keep in mind that Walt Disney World, although it might feel like you are in a bubble, isn’t isolated from the rest of the world.

Disney Resorts and Parks have gift shops and first aid stations with a lot of what you might need. Can’t find it there? Then consider a grocery delivery or a quick ride to a nearby store.

Don’t let packing ruin the magic. Enjoy finding quick options for everyone to wear during your trip.

7. Use Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes

Make your day in the Parks special by purchasing Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes. These great options will allow you to bypass the long standby lines for some of the most popular rides at Walt Disney World.

Remember that you don’t have to use them every day, so choose a day at Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where you can get a lot out of your purchase. Take that day to add a little extra magic to your vacation experience.

6. Do Non-Park Experiences

Walt Disney World Parks are fantastic, but so are many things outside of the Parks. Take time to do some other magical experiences outside the four main Disney Parks. Consider taking time to visit a water park, mini golf, or visit Disney Springs.

There is a lot of magic to experience both in and out of the four Disney Parks. Enjoy visiting those other experiences during your trip as well.

See if your Resort has a scavenger hunt or hidden Mickeys to find. They can also often have crafts that Guests can participate in each day. These are fun experiences that many Guests don’t know they can enjoy during their trip.
