Why We Are Thankful For Walt Disney World This Year

As we head into Thanksgiving week, we want to reflect on all the reasons we are thankful for Walt Disney World. We are grateful for many things as we look back on 2022.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

We are thankful for the new and exciting ride that opened in EPCOT this year. This unique coaster opened in EPCOT and has quickly become the most popular ride in all of Walt Disney World.

We are so grateful for this ride’s new, exciting technology. It is so exciting to see how Disney is constantly trying new things. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind features Disney’s first-ever reverse launch and what Disney Imagineers call an omnicoaster.

These new ride vehicles rotate, keeping Guests constantly in the action as they travel through the ride. Not only do we love the latest technology used throughout the ride, but we also love the addition of music. It is exciting to board the ride and not know what fantastic song will be used.

There is so much about Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind that we are thankful for, and we hope that Disney will continue to create these fantastic experiences for Guests.

Always Something New

We are so thankful that no matter how often we visit Walt Disney World, we can always experience something new there.

Between the four Theme Parks (Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios), over 30 Resorts, and so many dining options, Disney is constantly introducing something new.

New rides open, menus get adjusted, and exciting entertainment is added. Because of this constant change, we can always find something new and magical on every trip.

Free Transportation

Although Walt Disney World transportation might sometimes frustrate us, we are still incredibly grateful for the free transportation offered. It can be extremely frustrating to navigate a new area during a vacation, and we appreciate that Disney takes this issue away.

Buses, boats, monorails, and the Disney Skyliner take Guests to and from the Disney Theme Park and Resorts and Disney Springs. It is so lovely to sit back and enjoy the ride. We hope that Disney continues to provide this, as it is a massive bonus of a vacation to Disney.

Bringing Stories to Us

What we love about Walt Disney World is how it brings the stories we love to life right before our eyes. From classic Disney movies such as Peter Pan to new, popular movies like Frozen and the Star Wars franchise, Disney continues to do an outstanding job of making us feel part of these beautiful stories.

We love that we can soar with Tink and Peter Pan and find the First Order while becoming a toy with Buzz and Woody. Disney indeed does a fantastic job bringing Guests into these stories throughout the Theme Parks; for that, we are so thankful.

All the Thrills

Even though Disney is for the whole family, we are thankful that we can find some thrills in the Disney Parks. We love having the chance to laugh, scream, and have a great time.

Big thrills, excitement, and fun come on rides such as Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom.

We are thankful we can have such an exciting time in the Parks while on our Disney vacations.

Being a Kid

We love having the thrills, but we are also so thankful that Disney is a place where we can be a kid again. This was Disney’s goal when we created Disneyland. He wanted to create a place where kids and adults could come together and have fun.

We love that we can act like a kid again in Walt Disney World. From screaming on rides to laughing and giggling or even crying when overwhelmed with the magic, Disney allows us to have a fantastic time with our kids and loved ones.

This is one of the best parts of Walt Disney World, and each time we visit, we are incredibly grateful that Disney allows us these magical experiences.

Disney Resorts

Another area of Walt Disney World that we are thankful for is Disney Resorts. We love being able to stay within the Disney bubble. Disney Resorts are a significant extension of Disney magic.

We love the transportation that is provided. The pools and overall Resorts are well-themed and fun, and we are grateful for the food provided so quickly.

Disney Resorts are a great part of Disney magic, and we are thankful for them.

Cast Members

The number one thing we are thankful for in Walt Disney World is the fabulous Cast Members. These people are making the magic for us during Disney vacations, and we are so thankful for them.

From the Cast Members that greet us at the Resorts to those who run the rides in Disney Park, each of them works hard every day to ensure we are safe and having a magical time.

We know that being a Cast Member isn’t always magical. We are thankful they take the time to create magical moments for us during our Disney vacations.

There is so much that we are thankful for when it comes to Walt Disney World. As we head into Thanksgiving, we wanted to express that gratitude.
