Why This Summer Is Going to Be Magical at Disney

As we get closer to summer, we are excited about all the magic at Walt Disney World. This summer will be a fantastic time to head to Walt Disney World for an epic vacation. Let’s take a look at all the great experiences that Guests will be able to enjoy this summer throughout Walt Disney World.

Happily Ever After Returns to Magic Kingdom

We are thrilled that the beloved nighttime show Happily Ever After will return to Magic Kingdom this summer. Starting on April 4, Guests will once again be able to enjoy this epic show.

We can’t wait to watch this show again, featuring impressive projections, songs from favorite movies, and the beloved feature song Happily Ever After. If this is an essential experience for you like ours, consider booking a dessert party at Magic Kingdom.

Dessert parties allow you to enjoy treats before, during, or after the fireworks show and specially designated seating for the show. This means no fighting the big crowds. Instead, you have a particular roped-off area allowing you to experience the show’s magic with additional space around you.

We are so excited to watch Happily Ever After again this summer.

Over in EPCOT, another nighttime show will be returning. Also coming back in April is EPCOT Forever. This show will be replacing Harmonious as the evening show. Although we haven’t heard how long EPCOT Forever will be back, we are excited to listen to the songs from old EPCOT once again.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

This summer will be a great time to ride on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. This new attraction in EPCOT takes Guests on a ride through the galaxy as they help the Guardians on a special mission.

This new indoor coaster is full of thrills. With a reverse launch and a ride vehicle that constantly rotates, Guests will always be right in the action. Guests can currently ride Guardians of the Galaxy by purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane or joining the virtual queue.

We are beyond excited to ride Tron this summer. The newest E-ticket attraction in Magic Kingdom is finally opened after an extended wait. This coaster is a fast-paced thrill that launches Guests into the action right from the start.

Like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Guests can experience Tron by having a boarding group through the virtual queue or purchasing an Individual Lighting Lane. It has been a long time waiting for this ride we can’t wait to ride this summer.

Finally, Roundup Rodeo BBQ is welcoming Guests in Toy Story Land. Guests can now enjoy a family-style meal of bbq and sides at this amazing, well-themed restaurant. Feel like a toy in Andy’s backyard as you want the over-the-top decorations.

We are thrilled to have another table-service restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and can’t wait to enjoy a great meal here this summer.

NEW Character Meet and Greets

There is nothing like meeting our favorite Disney character and this summer, we will be able to meet even more. Disney recently announced that Mirabel would meet Guests at the Fairytale Garden in Magic Kingdom starting in the fall. We can’t wait to see this area transformed to represent Casita.

Fans of Moana will be able to say hello as she will be greeting Guests on Discovery Island in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This will begin on April 22, which is also the 25th anniversary of the Park. Rumors are circulated that even more unique characters might show up to help celebrate.

Another fantastic and highly popular character will be back in EPCOT this summer. Figment will again have a meet and greet this summer outside the Imagination! Pavilion.

Meet and greets are a massive part of the Disney magic, and we are thrilled to be able to experience even more this summer.

H20 Glow Nights

Starting in May, Guests can choose to attend a special ticketed event at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Disney H20 Glow After Hours is a special ticket event allowing Guests to enjoy the waterpark at night.

The event occurs from 8 to 11 p.m.; however, Guests can enter the Park at 6 p.m. This is an enjoyable experience that we are thrilled is coming back. With a DJ dance party and some fun Disney characters, we can’t wait to hang out during this event once again this summer.

After Hours Events

Another special ticket event that is back this summer is the After Hours Events. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios and EPCOT, Guests can enjoy extended time after the Park closes.

During the heat of the summer, these events are great ways to enjoy cooler temperatures and shorter lines. Guests that purchase a ticket to an After Hours Event are given three additional hours in the Parks after the Park closes. The ticket includes access to Disney’s top rides and popcorn, ice cream treats, and pop.

We love attending these events at Walt Disney World and are thrilled that Disney has brought them back this summer.

These are some of the top reasons this summer will be extra magical at Walt Disney World. We can’t wait to head to Walt Disney World this summer to experience all the magic. From new rides, exciting meet and greets, and delicious new food, Disney is the place to be this summer. What are you looking forward to this summer at Walt Disney World?
