Why Staying at a Disney Resort Might Be Bad

We love Walt Disney World and the magic it brings to Guests and part of that magic is the many Walt Disney World Resorts.   Guests heading to Walt Disney World have the difficult decision of determining which of the many Disney Resorts they are going to stay at during their Disney vacation. https://howtodisney.com/magical-experiences-we-do-every-disney-vacation-jr1/

Cred Walt Disney World offers three different Resort categories (value, moderate, and deluxe) for Guests to choose from when they are determining where they want to stay.  Each Resort category offers a different price point as well as different amenities.

So could staying at one of these Walt Disney World Resorts actually be bad?  Let’s take a look.

Beach Club Pool

Pools Will Never Be the Same

A major downfall of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is the pools will make all the pools at home seem less magical.  The pools at the Walt Disney World Resort are not only full of fun, but have some of the best themes.

Over at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, Guests can enjoy the amazing Dig Site pool.  Here a Mayan pyramid takes center stage as Guests of all ages can enjoy the jaguar slide.   Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is also home to the largest hot tub fitting up to 22 people.

Who would want to swim at a volcano pool with the Magic Kingdom as a backdrop?  Guests can do just that while swimming at Disney’s Polynesian Resort pool.

Finally, we would be wrong not to mention the top pool in all of Walt Disney World at Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts.   These two Resorts share Stormalong Bay Pool which is one of the most beloved pool areas in all of Walt Disney World.   Here Guests can enjoy a lazy river, build sand castles, and race down one of these best slides.

Not only are these pools amazing, but in the afternoons Disney Cast Members come out with games and activities for the kids.  From trivia to team building, it is a lot of fun for kids of all ages.

Sorry pools back at home.  You just aren’t going to cut it when we get back from these amazing pools at Walt Disney World.

All the Food

Another downfall of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is all the food that is easy to access.   Most of the Disney Resorts have a quick service location making it easy to quickly grab food and head on your way.  Why is this a bad thing?  It means that those beloved Mickey Bars are available almost all the time and how many does one need each day?

Guests will also learn that there are lots of choices when it comes to dining at Walt Disney World Resorts.  It isn’t just chicken nuggets and burgers everywhere.  Even though this is good, it also makes determining what you want harder.

Some of the top dining reservations are at Disney Resorts giving even more Guests the opportunity to visit and enjoy them.   Topolino’s Terrace, Steakhouse 71, Chef Mickey’s, and Ohana are some of the top sit down meals that guests head to at the Disney Resorts.

Sushi, salads, steaks, and stir fry are just some of the great food choices Guests will find.  Don’t forget to have some Mickey waffles or head to Disney’s Polynesian Resort for tonga toast.  There are so many delicious options throughout the Disney Parks that you might just spend the whole time trying to figure out what you want to eat.

Bus, Boat, Monorail, or Skyliner

Walt Disney World provides a variety of free transportation throughout the Walt Disney World Resort Property.   Guests staying at some of the Disney Resorts might find it hard to choose which of these great modes of transportation they want to take.

For example, those enjoying a stay at Disney’s Polynesian Resort can choose to walk, ride the Monorail, or catch a boat to Magic Kingdom.  Over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Guests can take the Disney Skyliner, walk, or take the Friendship Boat to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

It is great that Disney offers so many outstanding modes of transportation but sometimes Guests might find themselves not knowing which one to take.

You Might Skip a Disney Park

A major downfall of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is that you might find yourself skipping a Disney Park all together one day to enjoy your Disney Resort.

Guests staying at these outstanding Disney Resorts might find themselves wanting to take a whole day to explore and enjoy the Resort itself instead of rushing off to one of the four Theme Parks.

Each Disney Resort, as we mentioned, has great pools to enjoy with fun after entertainment.  When staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge or Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, there are so many activities to do and things to see that a whole magical day can be spent exploring the Resort.

You Might Not Want to Leave

Finally, Disney Resorts are bad because they make you not want to leave Walt Disney World.   The outstanding service by the Disney Cast Members combined with the great food, fun pools, and magical themes make Disney Resorts a true escape.  Because of this, many Guests will find themselves not wanting to leave when their Walt Disney World vacation wraps up.

We love Walt Disney World and the Disney Resorts are part of the reason we do.  Disney Resorts are part of the magic and we love staying at them each Disney vacation and we think you will too.
