5 Things We LOVE That Disney Is Doing

A trip to Walt Disney World is always magical, and part of that magic comes from the unique experiences and thoughtful enhancements Disney continues to bring to its parks. Disney has introduced several updates that make the experience even better for guests. Here are five things we absolutely love that Disney is doing to elevate our vacations!

1. Seamless Dining with Mobile Ordering

One of the biggest game-changers for dining at Walt Disney World has been the introduction of mobile ordering. Gone are the days of stressful waits and lines at quick-service restaurants. With mobile ordering through the My Disney Experience app, guests can effortlessly plan meals in advance, choose their favorite dining location, select a pickup window, and order from the comfort of their phone.

Here’s how it works:

  • Open the My Disney Experience app and find the mobile ordering feature.
  • Select a location, such as Woody’s Lunch Box at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
  • Pick a time slot and place your order.
  • When it’s time to eat, tap “Prepare My Order,” and Disney Cast Members will start prepping your food. You’ll get a notification when it’s ready for pickup.

We love the convenience of mobile ordering as it saves us time and allows us to schedule meals without battling crowds during peak hours. Plus, with options available across all four parks and many Disney resorts, this feature has become an essential part of our Disney day.

2. Early Entry Magic

For those early risers, Disney’s new Early Entry perk is a dream come true. Previously, Disney Resort guests enjoyed Extra Magic Hours, but only at one designated park each day. Now, Early Entry grants resort guests access to all four Disney Parks 30 minutes before regular opening time, allowing guests to spread out and enjoy shorter wait times across the resort.

Why we love it:

  • It allows guests to experience popular rides with minimal waits.
  • The staggered opening across all four parks helps reduce morning crowds.
  • Starting the day early frees up more time later to explore shows, dining, and more.

If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, don’t miss the chance to soak up the magic of the parks first thing in the morning with Early Entry!

3. Magical Memories with Memory Maker

One of the most enchanting souvenirs you can bring home from a Disney trip is a collection of unforgettable photos. Disney’s Memory Maker allows you to capture every moment of your trip, from on-ride photos to those iconic castle shots taken by PhotoPass photographers. For $169, Memory Maker grants unlimited digital downloads of all your photos throughout your stay.

What makes Memory Maker special:

  • On-Ride Photos: Relive the excitement of your favorite rides with high-quality photos.
  • Magic Shots: Capture unique images with special effects like Tinker Bell in your palm or balloons floating beside you.
  • Professional Quality: Disney PhotoPass photographers are stationed at prime locations throughout the parks, ensuring your family photos are beautifully composed.

Memory Maker captures the true essence of a Disney vacation, giving guests a perfect way to remember each magical moment long after their trip ends.

4. Enhanced Experiences with Individual Lightning Lanes

A newer addition to Disney’s lineup, Individual Lightning Lanes are a convenient option for guests who want to maximize their time and enjoy popular attractions without long waits. As part of Disney’s new Lightning Lane service, Individual Lightning Lanes allow guests to purchase access to select attractions, bypassing the standby line and enjoying shorter wait times.

Currently, Individual Lightning Lanes are available for:

The price varies depending on the day and demand but typically ranges from $7 to $17 per person. While it may not be for everyone, we love having the option to secure a spot on these top attractions, allowing us to enjoy other rides and shows without spending hours in line.

5. Bringing the Magic Back with a Focus on Guest Experience

After a challenging few years, Walt Disney World is back to creating magic like never before. From interactive experiences to revamped shows and parades, Disney’s focus on making each guest’s visit unforgettable is evident. Cast members go above and beyond to make every family feel special, with surprises, magical moments, and the signature Disney touches we all know and love.

Some highlights:

  • Luminous The Symphony of Us: EPCOT’s new nighttime spectacular enchants guests with an innovative blend of music, lights, and fireworks, celebrating the wonders of the world and unity.
  • Tiana’s Bayou Adventure: The much-anticipated reimagining of Splash Mountain into a Princess and the Frog-themed adventure brings new storytelling magic to Magic Kingdom.
  • Connections Eatery and Creations Shop: EPCOT’s World Celebration now offers fresh dining and shopping experiences, blending modern aesthetics with Disney’s creativity.

With every trip, we see Disney’s commitment to delivering joy and wonder to families, no matter the occasion. We’re grateful for the magic that continues to sparkle throughout Walt Disney World and look forward to what’s next!
