Why a Disney Value Resort is Right For You

Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort is a lot of fun and adds to the magic of a Disney vacation.  We have a great post HERE about why we think staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel is a good choice as well as questions to ask yourself HERE before booking.]

Walt Disney World offers three main categories when it comes to their Resorts:  value, moderate, deluxe/deluxe villa.  They each offer different amenities as well as room sizes for Guests to choose from.

We looked into why a moderate resort might be a good fit for your family HERE, but we also wanted to jump into why a value resort might be the right fit as well.  Walt Disney World offers a handful of value resorts including the All-Stars (All-Star Movies, All-Star Sports and All-Star Music), Pop Century, Art of Animation as well as the campsite at Fort Wilderness.  Since the campsite is such a unique experience, we won’t include it here.

Let’s dive into why one of these Walt Disney World Resorts might be the right fit for your next Disney vacation.

Price Point

If you are looking to save a little money when it comes to your Resort, but still want to stay in the Disney bubble, value resorts are a great option.

Value resorts range in price from $100 to $200 for most evenings which compared to a moderate that starts at around $200 per night, and deluxe that can get up to $700 per night, is a huge price saver.

If you are looking to save a little money while still on Disney property, we highly recommend looking into the value resorts.

Same Perks

Even though you are staying at a Walt Disney World value resort, you still receive many of the same perks as Guests staying at a moderate or deluxe.

Guests of the value resorts are still able to participate in early entry at the four Theme Parks giving them access to the Disney Parks a whole 30 minutes prior to official Park opening. This a great way to get into a Theme Park before the crowds.

Transportation is another perk that Guests receive when staying at a value resort.  Guests are able to take Disney’s free transportation throughout the Walt Disney World property allowing them to sit back and relax.

Kid Friendly Food Courts

When traveling with little ones to Walt Disney World, you will find that the value resorts have excellent food choices for those picky eaters.  The food courts at the value resorts are the best on Disney property giving a variety of choices for adults and those kid favorites as well.

The food courts are large, providing lots of tables and are bright and fun as well.  Disney’s All-Star Sports features End Zone Food Court, Disney’s All-Star Music features Intermission Food Court, Disney’s All-Star Movies has World Premiere Food Court, Disney’s Pop Century features Everything POP Shopping & Dining, and Disney’s Art of Animation has Landscape of Flavors.

The food courts are also known for their deliciously, themed cupcakes so make sure you keep your eyes open for those seasonal treats when visiting.

Park Open to Close

Another reason that a value resort might work the best for your family is if you are an open to close Disney park goer.  If you don’t plan to take breaks at your Resort because you plan to be at the Disney Park from when it opens to after fireworks, it might make sense to save money and choose a value resort.

Value Resorts offer a safe and comfortable place to sleep and shower with some Disney magic sprinkled in along the way.

Options For Larger Families

It can be difficult for larger families to find accommodations in Walt Disney World without spending a lot of money. Two of the value resorts offer great options for larger families without a large price tag.

Art of Animation offers family suites (Cars, Nemo and Lion King themed). These rooms provide sleeping arrangements for six people along with two bathrooms and a living area. These are great for bigger families.

All-Star Music offers family suites as well. These do cost a little more than a standard value room, but they are still extremely reasonable.

These two value resorts might be a better choice for those with larger families who want to be budget conscious.

Disney Fun

The value resorts are full of fun and Disney magic.  All of these provide larger then life statues through the Resort bringing everything from our favorite movies to sports to life.

You can walk around the Resort and take pictures with all of the fun icons to help remember your stay.

Disney value resorts also have a magical energy about them that a lot of Guests enjoy.  If you are one that likes people and lots of fun these Resorts will be great for you.

Skyliner Access

An amazing perk to staying at Pop Century and Art of Animation is the skyliner access.  Guests of these two value resorts have access to the Disney skyliner that will take them to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The newest mode of Disney transportation is not only fun, but also extremely efficient getting Guests to the Parks and home again quickly.

No need to pay deluxe or moderate pricing for this service!

Walt Disney World has amazing Resorts and the value resorts are no exception.  They provide excellent accommodations, fun theming and Disney magic.

If you are wanting to save some money during your next Walt Disney World vacation, but still be in the Disney bubble we highly recommend looking into the value Resorts.
