Cell Phone Dies

Now more than ever, cell phones are important in Walt Disney World.  Guests need to be on their phones to access My Disney Experience the official app and guide to all things Walt Disney World.

Because this app is so important, it can be a big issue if you end up with a dead cell phone while in a Disney Park.

If this happens to you, don’t panic.  There are multiple ways to deal with this issue.

First, we highly recommend having portable charges with you.  Having these along in the Parks can make a big difference and can help keep you connected.

For those that might have forgotten a portable charger, you can bring along a cord and block and charge in the Disney Parks.  There are a lot more hidden plug-ins which is a great help if your phone does die.

Finally, if you don’t have any of these items, you can find FuelRod Stations in the Parks and at some of the Disney Resorts.  Here you can purchase a portable charger for $30.  When it dies, you are able to exchange it for a small fee (around $3).  Although this isn’t probably the most cost-effective method, it doesn’t help if you are stuck.

Cell phones are so important to a successful Walt Disney World vacation that it can be super stressful when it dies.  Hopefully planning ahead will help you not run into this issue while on your Disney vacation.

Mobile Order is Booked

This happens a lot to Guests in Walt Disney World.  They are enjoying rides and entertainment and all of a sudden their little ones turn hangry.  At a lot of the quick-service locations, Guests are being asked to mobile order.

This is done through the My Disney Experience app.  Guests choose their location, and time, and place their order. Once their window comes around, they can then click the “Prepare My Order” button.  This will let Cast Members know that they have arrived.

The issue is that there are a limited amount of spots each hour.  This means that if you wait until those hunger pains hit, you might not be able to get your food for a while.

To avoid this issue, make sure that your mobile orders early on in the day.  Get lunch ordered by 10 am and get those evening meals booked by 3 or 4.  Doing this will ensure that you have a spot reserved and that you won’t be stuck trying to find food.

If you do forget to mobile order your food early, there are still options.  You do standby in some quick-service locations; however, the wait might belong.  For those moments when you need food right away, check out some of the stands for pretzels or other items.  This is a great option while you wait for a mobile order time to open.

Another option is to look at Disney Resorts nearby.  If you are in the Magic Kingdom, consider catching the monorail for a meal at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Resort, or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.  They offer great food and should have more openings when it comes to mobile ordering.

Having a plan for food is important to avoid hangry issues while on vacation.

You Forgot Something at Home

No matter how many times you check that packing list before leaving for Walt Disney World, you might still forget something at home.  When this happens, don’t panic.

The Walt Disney World Resorts as well as the first aid stations/baby care centers at the Disney Parks have a lot of items that you might need.  Check those locations first for the item you forgot.

When you forget something, keep in mind that you are an easy ride share away from stores such as CVS, Target, and Walmart.  You can always head there for something as well.

Finally, if you forget medicine at home, you can always work with your doctor to get something sent to the area for you.  There are companies that actually deliver medicine to the Disney Resorts and even to the Parks.

Remember, you are going to Walt Disney World not some remote island.  You will be able to find most of what you need.

It Rains

This is a concern for many of us when we head to Walt Disney World.  We want it to be nice and sunny; however, that probably isn’t going to be the case when visiting Disney.

We have a lot of posts on How to Disney about what to do when it rains in Walt Disney World.  Check those out so you have a plan.  Rain doesn’t mean the trip is ruined, you just need to be flexible.

Know what rides and shows stay open as well as the hidden gems you might find along the way.  Don’t let the rain ruin the magic for you.  Jump in those puddles.

These are some of the big problems Guests run into during their Walt Disney World vacation.  We hope that bringing them up to you before you travel will help you be prepared and know what to do.
