What Rides Should You Book First With Genie+?

You’ve decided to invest in Genie+ during your Walt Disney World vacation. You are excited that you will be able to skip the long standby lines at each of the four Disney Parks, allowing you to get to see and do it throughout the day. The big decision is what rides you should focus on when booking Genie+.

Not all rides are created equal when it comes to Genie+. Some will get you more bang for your buck. We want to ensure that you take advantage of this during your trip. Let’s look at which rides you should focus on in each of the four Disney Parks when it comes to your Genie+ selections.

Magic Kingdom

We enjoy using Genie+ at Magic Kingdom as there are many rides to choose from. Because of this, we feel like we can always have a Genie+ ready to use as we tour the Park.

Even with all the options, there are a few rides where Genie+ will save you more time in line and some rides that Genie+ books up quickly. These are the ones you will want to focus on right away at 7 am to ensure that you can get them booked.

The top two rides at Magic Kingdom, where Genie+ books up quickly, are Jungle Cruise and Peter Pan’s Flight. If it is super important to you to fly over to London and visit Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Boys, you will want to make sure to book this ride at 7 am.

The same goes for Jungle Cruise over in Adventureland. Guests wanting to have an adventure as they travel through the many rivers of the world will enjoy snagging a Genie+ quickly.

As the lines for these two rides build quickly in the morning and last throughout the day, using Genie+ to skip those long rides is a good option.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

The struggle with Disney’s Hollywood Studios is that there are so many fantastic rides, and they all have lines that build quickly. If you want to ride Slinky Dog Dash, this should be your number one pick for Genie+. Slinky Dog Dash continues to be one of the most challenging Genie+ selections to get in all of Walt Disney World. We continue to see it disappear as an option within minutes of 7 am.

If Slinky Dog Dash isn’t a priority for your group, it is about narrowing down your must-do rides. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Rock n’ Roller Coaster all see long waits. Because of those long wait times, using Genie+ early in the day can make a big difference.

Since there are so many fantastic rides at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you will have to make a tough choice regarding that first Genie+ selection. Knowing the must-do attraction for your group will be vital for guiding your choice.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Genie+ can be a struggle at Disney’s Animal Kingdom for the opposite reason than Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here there are a limited amount of attractions to choose from, and a lot of time Genie+ isn’t always needed to experience them with shorter waits.

When you look at the options for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, there are only a handful of choices. Na’vi River Journey, Dinosaur, Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safari, It’s Tough To Be A  Bug, and Festival of the Lion King are some options you have with Genie+ at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

When looking at these choices, Na’vi River Journey and Kilimanjaro Safari are the two rides we are seeing get snatched up quickly with Genie+.  If they are a priority to you, we would recommend looking at them as your first selection for Genie+ on your Disney’s Animal Kingdom day.

EPCOT

EPCOT is also a problematic Park when choosing a first Genie+ selection. Guests must narrow down if they want to ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, Frozen Ever After, or Test Track. These three rides continue to bring large crowds and long lines.

The ride that typically goes the fastest at EPCOT when it comes to Genie+ is Test Track. This ride continues to beat out both Frozen Ever After and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. If you don’t want to race, consider one of the other two rides as your first selection during your EPCOT day.

Reminders

When booking Genie+, remember that you can add it to your ticket starting at midnight. Disney has recently announced that costs will be on a varied scale depending on crowds. We will see anything from $15 per day per person to $22 per day per person on the year’s busiest days.

Guests can start making Genie+ selections beginning at 7 am from the comfort of their Walt Disney World Resort hotel. You cannot choose a return but are given the next available time.

New Genie+ reservations can be made when Guests have 1. Used their Genie+ selection 2. Time has expired for their Genie+ choice, or 3. Two hours have passed since the previous booking (set those alarms).

A good plan on how you will use your Genie+ purchase is essential. Knowing what rides will book up the fastest throughout the day is part of using Genie+ successfully. Genie+ can help you during your Walt Disney World vacation by helping you avoid long lines while still enjoying the magic. We hope this helps you with your Genie+ Walt Disney World vacation plan.
