Values Not to Miss in Walt Disney World

It isn’t a surprise to anyone that a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort is expensive.  There are a lot of pieces that go into a Walt Disney World vacation and each of them costs money.  We have a few ways that you can save money on your vacation.  We have some values that you will want to take a look at so you don’t miss out on.

Resort

When we look at Walt Disney World Resorts, there are three main categories to choose from value, moderate, and deluxe.  Each of these categories go up in price as you go up in amenities.

When looking for a good price and a way to save money, Guests should look at the Value Resorts.  These include the All-Star Resorts, Pop Century, and the Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation.

The value Resort, even though they aren’t cheap, is the least expensive option out of the three categories.  It is a way to stay in the Disney bubble without having to pay a lot of money.

With that being said, not all Value Resorts are created equal.  We think the best value for your money is Pop Century.  Not only have the rooms been recently updated giving a new, fresh look, but having access to the Skyliner is amazing.

Pop Century, even though priced a little higher than the All-Star Resorts, is an excellent value.  It has a lot to offer Guests with three pools, a nice dining hall, and access to the skyliner.

When looking for a Disney Resort that is the best value, we think Pop Century is the winner.

Snack

There are so many snacks throughout Walt Disney World to choose from that it can be hard to narrow it down.  If you are looking for a good value with your snack, we have a few options to choose from.

Our first value snack is the refillable popcorn buckets.  When we talk about these, we mean the old-school buckets.  Not the fancy Mickey Mouse or Skyliner.  You can purchase a bucket and then refill it throughout your vacation for $2.

There isn’t any other snack that will keep your kids entertained and is that cheap.

We love to grab some as we head out of the Park for a nighttime snack.  You can also try out flavored popcorn as well at the different carts.

Another good snack option is the totchos found over in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  This snack has beef, bean chili, cheese, queso, tomatoes, corn chips, sour cream, and potato barrels.  At $9.99 this snack might seem expensive, but it is extremely filling and can provide a great afternoon light bite.

Two other hearty snacks can be found at Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom.  The waffle sandwiches are filling and delicious.  At breakfast, Guests can enjoy the fruit and Nutella waffle.  In the afternoon, Guests can enjoy the sweet and spicy chicken and waffles.  Both of these are fantastic and a great snack option.

In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes offers two great snack options.  The side pork egg roll gives Guests two rolls for $6.99 or they could get the chicken fried rice for $5.99.  Both of these are great values and hearty snacks.

Quick Service

There are many quick-service options throughout Walt Disney World as well, but not all of them offer excellent value.

Flame Tree Barbecue in Disney’s Animal Kingdom however is an excellent value when it comes to price and food.  The top choices we would suggest here are the ribs and chicken combo or the baked macaroni & cheese with pulled pork.  Both of these entrees are plentiful to share at a reasonable price.

Sticking with our barbecue theme, another great value for a quick service location is Regal Eagle Smokehouse in the American Pavilion at EPCOT.  Like Flame Tree Barbecue, Regal Eagle Smokehouse offers a variety of meal options that provide a good amount of food.  Because of this, you can often share entrees here making it a good value.

Table Service

Table service meals are cheap in Walt Disney World; however, if you take some time you can find some great value.

Via Napoli Epcot

Our first option when it comes to table service locations with a good value is Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria in the Italy Pavilion at EPCOT.  You can easily get one pizza here that can feed the whole family making a great value.  Even though the pizza isn’t cheap, it does go further than other entrees.

Another table service that has a good value to it is Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  Even though this menu is basic food such as burgers and sandwiches, the cost of these is extremely reasonable.

Guests will find meals at $20 and under making it almost the same price as some quick service meals.  If you are looking for a way to step away from the crowd and enjoy someone taking care of you for a while, Sci-Fi Dine-In is a great option.

Going to Walt Disney World isn’t cheap.  There is so much that goes into a Disney vacation and it can really add up.   Figure out what areas you want to save and other areas you might want to spend.  This will help you set that budget ahead of time which is important to a successful Disney vacation.  We hope that pointing out some of these values you can find while visiting will help you save some money and have a magical vacation.
