Walt Disney World has numerous boat rides throughout the four Disney Parks.  Today we are going to take a ride on each of them.  We will break down what we like and don’t like about each ride so you can make a decision on if you will ride when you visit Walt Disney World.

Each of these boat rides is unique in its own way.  They offer a story that works to transport Guests to a new and magical world.

“It’s a small world”- Fantasyland

Most Guests visiting Walt Disney World know about this classic boat ride.  “It’s a small world’ is found in Fantasyland.  It takes Guests on a 10-minute  boat ride through the seven different continents as children from around the world sing together.

By the end of the ride, it becomes clear that it is a small world after all and we can all work together.  A message that still holds true all these years later.

Although some Guests might not prefer this longer boat ride, we think it is one that should be experienced at least once during a vacation.

Jungle Cruise- Adventureland

This boat ride has become even more popular since the refurbishment and movie came out.  This boat tour is full of comedy and fun as Guests travel down the exotic rivers of Asia, Africa, and South America.

This is a 10-minute boat ride that will take Guests on a 10,000-mile journey.  They are able to see a variety of plant and animal life as they venture through the rivers of the world.

What makes this ride so amazing are the trusted skippers that are full of help and jokes along the way.  This is one of the most popular rides in Magic Kingdom lately so get there early or use Genie+ to ride with a lower wait time.

Pirates of the Caribbean- Adventureland

Another boat ride found in Adventureland is Pirates of the Caribbean.  This is our favorite boat ride in all of Walt Disney World.

We love this ride because it has it all.  From an amazing soundtrack to excellent scenes, there is so much to experience on this ride.  We also like that there is a little thrill as well.  A small drop and an intense battle scene make this ride a little more than just a nice boat ride.

Guests will enjoy this voyage into a time when pirates and privateers ruled.

Splash Mountain0- Frontierland

The most thrilling boat ride in Magic Kingdom is Splash Mountain.  This 13-minute water plum ride takes Guests on an adventure alongside Br’er Rabbit and friends.

With three dips and a 5 story drop into the briar patch, this ride is full of excitement.  Combine those drops with the reality that you will get wet, this is a thrilling boat ride in Magic Kingdom.

Liberty Square Riverboat- Liberty Square

From thrilling to relaxing, the Liberty Square Riverboat is the most relaxing water ride in Magic Kingdom.  Guests cruise down the Rivers of America on this authentic steam-powered paddle wheeler.

Along the way, they are able to see different parts of the Magic Kingdom such as Tom Sawyer Island.  This is a 17-minute journey so it does take some time, but is a great way to relax and see parts of the Park you don’t normally see.

Na’vi River Journey- Pandora

Over in Pandora, Guests can enjoy a slow, relaxing boat ride that takes them deep into Pandora’s bioluminescent rainforest.

This boat ride is very calm and beautiful as it shows the beauty of this land.  In the end, Guests will encounter the amazing Na’vi Shaman of Songs.  This is one of the most outstanding animatronics Disney has ever designed.

Kali River Rapids- Asia

Kali River Rapids is a thrilling whitewater adventure that takes Guests through the jungle of Asia.  This ride is a typically water raft ride with lots of waterfalls as well as a 20-foot slope.

Although the storyline is somewhat lacking here, Guests (well younger Guests) typically really enjoy the thrill and excitement of getting wet.

You can get soaked on this ride so keep that in mind as you plan when you want to ride.

EPCOT

Surprisingly EPCOT has a few boat rides that are both fun and educational at the same time.

Frozen Ever After

Frozen Ever After- Norway

An extremely popular boat ride in EPCOT is Frozen Ever After found in Norway.  Guests are taken on a voyage through Arendelle as they experience a musical adventure through the story of Frozen.

This ride features all of our favorite characters from the movie and does a great job of combining the love and complications of the two sisters into the ride.

As you can imagine, this is an extremely popular ride.  Plan to rope drop or use Genie+ to avoid a long, and hot, wait.

Living with the Land- Land Pavilion

A boat ride that is truly EPCOT as it entertains and teaches at the same time.  Living with the Land is a boat ride through the amazing greenhouses of EPCOT.

Guests learn about how farming and agriculture are adjusting and improving as well as how the EPCOT team is working to discover new methods to improve our process of farming.

We love that these are active greenhouses and love seeing things come to life as we travel through on our boats.

Gran Fiest Tour Starring the Three Caballeros- Mexico

Our final boat ride in EPCOT is a fun, entertaining ride featuring the three Caballeros.  Located in the Mexico Pavilion, this is a fun and entertaining ride.

Donald disappears and it is up to the other two Caballeros to search for him.  As they look for Donald, Guests are taken to a variety of different sights throughout Mexico.

It is fun and a great, easy ride to get out of the sun during the middle of the day.
