TRON Lightcycle Run

April 4 is a significant day in Magic Kingdom. The brand-new Tomorrowland attraction, TRON LightCycle Run, officially opens. Guests must enter the Virtual Queue and secure a Boarding Group or purchase an Individual Lightning Lane entry to ride the new attraction. The good news is that the Virtual Queue system will continue to operate for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT.

The new Magic Kingdom attraction will also bring a suitable place for a new quick-service restaurant to Tomorrowland. Energy Bytes is a new kiosk serving sweet and savory dishes, Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee, a Watermelon Refresher, and other refreshments.

Easter Celebrations

Easter falls on April 9 this year. But the celebrations in Walt Disney World aren’t limited to Easter weekend. The Walt Disney Company has already started the Easter celebrations.

In EPCOT, Guests can take part in the Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt. Twelve Easter eggs are hidden around World Showcase. Join the fun by purchasing your EPCOT Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt Map for $9.99 from Creations, Disney Traders, World Traveler at International Gateway, and the Festival Markets throughout World Showcase. Once you’ve completed the Hunt return to one of these locations to collect your prize.

Plan to visit a selection of the Walt Disney World Resort hotels during your Easter vacation. You won’t want to miss the incredible Easter egg displays in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

While visiting Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, visit The Grand Cottage in the lobby. The Grand Cottage sells a selection of house-made Easter treats that make the perfect souvenir from your spring Disney vacation. It’s open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

On Easter Sunday, church services take place at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Additionally, each Disney Resort hotel will host their own Easter celebrations, including special Disney character appearances. Keep an eye on the activities calendars in each of the Resorts to see what fun activities you can enjoy.
