How To Prevent Child Injury at a Disney Resort Hotel

A recent incident at Walt Disney World Resort has prompted a guest to share an important safety tip for families staying at Disney hotels. The advice serves as a helpful reminder of the often-overlooked amenities Disney Resort hotels provide to ensure guest safety.

Safety First at Disney Resort Hotels

Walt Disney World Resort boasts an impressive lineup of themed hotels, from Value Resorts like Disney’s Pop Century to Deluxe offerings like Disney’s Polynesian Village. With options for every budget and preference, these accommodations provide perks like early theme park entry, convenient transportation, and advanced access to dining reservations.

But beyond the well-known benefits, Disney Resort hotels also offer lesser-known amenities to ensure the comfort and safety of younger guests. One such feature is the availability of bed rails, which can be requested for any standard bed size. These rails are invaluable for families with toddlers, providing extra protection for little ones prone to rolling out of bed during the night.

A Recent Accident

A Disney Resort hotel guest recently took to Reddit to share a personal experience highlighting the importance of using these safety measures. Redditor u/TheJudoCrab described a frightening moment involving their three-year-old: “Pro tip, you can request rails for any of the beds to help prevent your kiddos from falling out of the beds and smashing their faces like my 3 year old did a few days ago!”

While the guest didn’t provide additional details, it seems the toddler escaped without lasting injuries.

Requesting Bed Rails and Other Amenities

Families staying at Disney Resort hotels can request bed rails by contacting the front desk or calling ahead before their stay. Walt Disney World Resort also provides Pack ‘n Play play yards and cribs for younger children, ensuring all guests can sleep safely and comfortably.
