Cannot-Miss Snacks at EPCOT!
Let’s take a little stroll around EPCOT together! Seeing as it is my absolute favorite park, I want to share some of my favorite snacks with you. Jot these down, take screenshots, and keep them in mind for your next jaunt around the World Showcase!
Churro Bites – Mexico
Enter the World Showcase and take a left toward Mexico. Located right on the water is a quick-service restaurant called La Cantina de San Angel. They serve some pretty good tacos and nachos, even some guacamole. But the highlight snack for me is their churro plate!
They are mini, bite-sized, and are served with an amazing chocolate hazelnut dip. Pair it with an avocado margarita from inside the Mexico pavilion and you really start your day off right!
Norwegian Kringla – Norway
In Norway you will find the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe. This spot inside has many sweet treats, like the popular School Bread. My personal favorite is this Norwegian pretzel. You can get it topped with either almond or chocolate. Either way you go, your taste buds will be so happy. Grab one of these before you head into the line for Frozen Ever After!
Orange Chicken – China
Okay I know – this could be considered a meal, not a snack. But it is too good to NOT talk about it. Plus, if you share it with another person, you can treat it as a snack!
Lotus Blossom Cafe is the quick-service restaurant inside the China pavilion. This location does not offer mobile ordering, but they are FAST and the lines are not usually long. And even if they are long, the orange chicken is worth it!
Karamell-Küche – Germany
So I can’t recommend a specific item here because I just simply cannot. I am a sucker for anything caramel, and that is exactly what this little shop offers. Their most famous offering is the caramel popcorn. Grab a large bag and take it with you to snack on in between World Showcase cocktails!
Bratwurst – Germany
In the back of the Germany pavilion sits Sommerfest, a walk-up quick service spot. This dish has been a tradition of mine for more than ten years. Top it with some mustard and sauerkraut – GOODNESS! My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
This menu is super simple – not much to choose from. But everything is delicious. (Especially the pretzel bread pudding!) If you are looking to pair it with an alcoholic beverage, grab a grapefruit beer from the same spot!
Margherita Pizza – Italy
Just outside of Via Napoli in the back of the Italy pavilion sits one of the best windows you can find. A pizza window. Walk right up and grab a slice of their Margherita pizza! Stop at the bar just at the entrance of the pavilion and grab a glass of wine to go with it. My personal favorite is the Rosa Ragale!
Funnel Cake – America
What says America better than fried dough? Just outside of the pavilion sits a small kiosk that serves funnel cakes all day. You can even add a scoop of ice cream on top of it for an even more decadent dessert!
Kakigōri – Japan
One of the most unique snacks around the World showcase is this Japanese shaved ice offering. It is shaved ice topped with flavorings like strawberry, melon, cherry, tangerine, or blue raspberry syrup. You can even add sweetened condensed milk to the top, which I HIGHLY recommend. This kiosk sits just outside of the Japan pavilion – you can’t miss it!
Baklava – Morocco
Morocco is one of the pavilions that most people just brush past. But I am here to tell you to explore this place some more! Not only do they have one of the best bars at EPCOT, but this place serves some amazing baklava! Outside in the Morocco Juice Bar you can customize your own pastry assortment. Pick between things like baklava, Marble Koulouria, or even Ergolavos!
Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich – France
Macarons and ice cream in one dessert? Yes please! Head back to L’Artisan des Glaces in the back of the France pavilion. This ice cream is some of the best at all of Walt Disney World. It is so creamy, and they have some amazing flavors. Pick your macaron flavor and whatever ice cream you’d like between the two cookies. It’s so French (and very American).
Butter & Sugar Crepe – France
This is one of the best additions to the EPCOT expansion. With the extension to include Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure came this kiosk serving this classic French snack. I usually pick Nutella in my crepe, but the butter and sugar here is hard to beat! Add some soft serve ice cream on top of it and you’ve got yourself one amazing dessert.
Fish ‘n’ Chips – United Kingdom
Just before you get to the iconic bar, Rose and Crown, your nose will be delighted with the scent of fish and chips. A little kiosk just outside called Yorkshire County Fish Shop, serving this iconic dish. They even have little packets of malt vinegar to top it off! My favorite way to enjoy this iconic plate.
Maple Popcorn – Canada
Just past the stairs up to the Canadian castle sits a little red kiosk stocked with some Canadian merchandise, and this iconic popcorn! If the caramel popcorn back in Germany didn’t suit your fancy, try this sweet treat!
What is your favorite snack at EPCOT? Is there something specific you love getting during one of the festivals?
