Best Sports Bars at Disney

Walt Disney wanted Guests to walk out of reality and into a land of fantasy when they entered his park. Disney Imagineers have intentionally kept a handful of things out of Disney parks in order to bring this to life. Newspapers and televisions to note a couple of them. (They also kept wifi out of the parks for a long time. Until 2013 when MyDisneyExperience came along, at least).

Has your Walt Disney World vacation ever conflicted with the big game and you’ve wondered how to watch it? Well even if there are no TVs inside of the parks, there are plenty of spots to catch whatever sports event you want to enjoy! It’s easy to catch the game if you know where to go. Here are some of the best spots at Disney World to watch a sports game!

Rainforest Cafe – Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park

Although there are no TVs inside of the parks, you can get pretty close here! Located just outside the main entrance of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park sits this iconic restaurant. Grab a seat at the bar where there are a few televisions hooked up. You can usually find the most prominent game(s) there. And then at halftime you can go ride Expedition Everest real quick and head back for the rest of the game!

Resort Pool Bar or Lounge

Not every Disney resort pool bar is outfitted with a television, but there is a chance yours is! This is especially convenient if you have children. They can play in the pool while you keep an eye on your team. Some of our favorite hotel pool bars with TVs:

Geyser Point Bar & Grill – Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort
Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill – Yacht & Beach Club
Banana Cabana – Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Your Hotel Room

This might be the simplest of them all, but might be the most reliable! Grab some food to go, maybe a few beers from a quick service restaurant, and BAM! You have a party. You can even use this as an excuse to order some room service if you want! You won’t get the enjoyment of being surrounded by fellow fans, but you won’t miss a play!

City Works Eatery & Pour House – Disney Springs

Disney Springs provides a handful of great spots for viewing many sports events. One of them is City Works, located over on the far west side of the Disney Springs close to the Cirque du Soleil tent. There are a handful of large TVs right behind the bar. The whole seating inside is designed to be able to view the screens, so no matter where you sit you will be able to enjoy! (Not to mention the amazing beer selections).

Splitsville Luxury Lanes – Disney Springs

This not only a fantastic bowling alley, but this spot offers some great drinks and plenty of TVs to catch a game! There are bars inside as well as outside, so there are plenty of options. The outside bar also has live music so in case you want a little bit of entertainment during the game it is available to you! PLUS – this surprisingly is the spot that serves the absolute best sushi at Disney World.

Boathouse Restaurant outside bar area

The BOATHOUSE Restaurant

This is usually my go-to spot, honestly. There is an indoor bar with plenty of seating, as well as an outdoor bar with a handful of screens. The full menu is served at both bars, and it’s usually pretty easy to find a couple of stools! Try the firecracker shrimp and the truffle fries. You won’t regret it!

Shula's Lounge at Walt Disney World Swan Hotel

Shula’s Lounge – Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel

While this technically is not a Disney hotel, it is on the property and offers something no other lounge can offer. This specific lounge was inspired by the 1972 Miami Dolphins. It’s the only NFL team to ever have a perfect season. It was named after their third-year head coach Don Shula. This lounge is attached to Shula’s Steakhouse – one of the best steakhouses in Orlando. So you know the food served at this lounge has to be some of the best around.

Rix Sports Bar – Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

Especially with the addition of the Grand Destino Tower, Coronado Springs has to be one of the best moderate resorts out there. Rix Sports Bar is a hidden gem of a spot. There are about a dozen televisions, so no matter where you sit you will be in perfect view of your game.

If you are wanting to hang out outside, this resort has an outdoor waterfront lounge. Three Bridges Bar & Grill offers a respite from the noise inside. Don’t miss their signature sangria!

Tambu Lounge – Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

This is a pretty small space, but I have watched a couple of NFL playoff games here. There is one screen by the windows that show the most prominent game at the time. Their sushi here is pretty good, and you can also ask for the famous ‘Ohana bread pudding as a dessert! (secret menu)

Stream From Your Device

When all else fails, you can always stream from your device. Thankfully there was a team of hard working people who improved the WiFi in all of the parks, so that is always available to you!

So no matter if it is NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, or even some golf, you don’t have to miss it while you are on your Disney vacation!
