10 Reasons I Go to Disney Each Year

Each year I make an effort to get down to Walt Disney World. For many, this seems strange as there are so many unique places to visit worldwide. Although I agree with this, there are some top reasons why I continue to visit Walt Disney World each year.

I want to share the ten reasons I go to Walt Disney World every year- sometimes more than once.

10. Family Time

When we are at home, we are constantly rushing to and from activities. Even though mealtime is essential to us, it can often be run or on the go. When we visit Walt Disney World as a family, we can slow down and enjoy one another.

From playing HeadsUp as we wait in line to screaming and laughing together on rides, our time at Walt Disney World as a family is special.

9. Dining

If you haven’t researched Disney, you might think the dining is all burgers, hot dogs, and nuggets. This is far from reality. Although we love some corn dog nuggets from Casey’s in Magic Kingdom, we also love the unique variety of food we can enjoy throughout Walt Disney World.

From quick snacks during festivals at EPCOT to outstanding sit-down meals with a unique theme like Space220, Disney has so much to offer for dining. Each time we visit, we can enjoy something new and delicious.

8. Entertainment

Entertainment at Walt Disney World is the best of the best. We enjoy experiencing the Festival of Fantasy Parade with outstanding floats bringing out many beloved Disney characters. We also appreciate the evening entertainment. Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom and Fantasmic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios are two of the best nighttime shows we have ever seen.

We also love the little entertainment that pops up around the Parks. In EPCOT, the different entertainment throughout the World Showcase is fantastic, as are the performers in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

7. Rides

We head back to Walt Disney World each year to experience the thrills and excitement of the rides. Classic rides such as it’s a small world or Peter Pan’s Flight continue to bring us joy each trip.

It is also fun to return each year and experience new and exciting rides, such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Tron: Lightcyle Run. Disney is constantly opening new experiences for Guests to enjoy, which has us returning each year.

6. Disney Resorts

There is something magical about the Walt Disney World Resorts. Each year we like to head back to experience a new Resort. There are so many amazing Resorts to choose from that we can always find something to fit our needs.

The Disney Resorts are part of the Disney magic. Because of this, we enjoy returning each year to experience a new Resort full of charm. We appreciate that Disney has a Resort that is perfect for each vacation we take.

5. Customer Service

Another reason we head back to Disney each year is because of the customer service. We know that when we arrive at Walt Disney World, we will be met with a certain level of customer service. The outstanding Cast Members ensure that Guests have a magical time, and this consistency and focus have us returning each year.

4. Shopping

Disney is constantly putting out new merchandise. This makes it fun to come back each year and walk through the fantastic shops throughout Walt Disney World. Exploring the World of Disney at Disney Springs or walking through the Emporium at Magic Kingdom might take time, but shopping is a lot more fun in Walt Disney World.

3. Lounges

If you are a casual Disney fan, you might not know that Walt Disney World has some fantastic lounges. Since we go each year, we enjoy exploring these lounges in the Parks and Disney Resorts.

The lounges are typically well-themed and provide great drinks, a quiet atmosphere (for most of them), and small snacks to share. This is a great way to wrap up an evening in Disney, with us coming back each year to enjoy.

2. Relaxing

We know some of you won’t believe this, but I like heading to Walt Disney World yearly because I can relax there. Disney doesn’t seem very relaxing if you think about rushing to rides, standing in lines, and crowds. If you know where the quiet places are throughout the Parks or allow yourself to slow down, you can enjoy some relaxing moments during your vacation.

Take time to look at all the details in the Parks and Resorts. Disney does a fantastic job at the details; if you slow down, you can enjoy them.

1. Magic

Even after all our trips, I still like going to Walt Disney World each year to experience the magic. Seeing the castle, Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth, or Tower of Terror for the first time during a trip is still magical.

I enjoy seeing characters and laughing on rides I have been on numerous times. Each trip is different and memorable, as well as full of magic. These unique, magical moments have me returning to Walt Disney World each year.

Those are the ten reasons I return to Walt Disney World each year. Those ten things make Walt Disney World special and excite me to visit each year.

Jennifer became a lifelong Disney fan during her first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of her life. She quickly started to introduce her love of Disney to her family with a Disney honeymoon and then family trips when her youngest was 18 months old. She loves the magic that Disney brings to people through theme parks, cruises, and adventures. As a teacher, she tries to bring Disney magic into her classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” She is also part of the Magic Vacation Planner team as a personal travel advisor. With this team, she can now help others plan magical vacations. She loves bringing her love to Disney to readers with How to Disney.
