YES! Exciting Information Already from the D23 EXPO

The D23 Expo is just getting started in California, but we were already given some amazing news via Twitter.  Even though we already knew that these experiences were coming to Disney (both Walt Disney World and Disneyland) we are thrilled to see the new information that surrounds them.

We have been waiting to hear more about if and when these experiences would be coming and it was fun and exciting to learn about them last night even before the Expo began.  It makes us excited for everything that could be coming during the rest of the weekend.

Let’s take a quick look at some of what has already been shared with us.

Dreamers Statue- EPCOT

If you have been paying attention at all or if you have been to EPCOT during the last year, you know that Disney Park is going through a major transformation.  We are thrilled with the new ride (Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind) as well as the great, new quick-service location (Connections Cafe & Eatery), but we also knew that there was a lot more to come.

Back in 2019 at D23, it was announced that along with the new neighborhoods in EPCOT would be a Dreamers Statue.  This new statue will feature Walt himself.  As EPCOT was Walt’s dream, it is truly a wonderful addition to the Park.  We finally are getting a better look at what exactly this statue will look like and we could be more moved.

The statue itself is to represent dreaming which is what Walt was all about.  We will see Walt in this statute look over his dream that became a reality after his death.

We couldn’t think of a better statue for EPCOT than this Dreamers Statue.

As the D23 Expo continues, we hope to learn more about the transformation of EPCOT and what that will look like moving forward.

Journey of Water- EPCOT

Another area that we were given a sneak peek at before the Expo even started was Journey of Water.  This is already being built in EPCOT and we have been given small glimpses into the construction; however, via Twitter, we learned a brand new feature that we will be able to see in this interactive experience.

This walk-through attraction will feature a 16-foot-tall Te Fiti from the beloved movie Moana.  As Guests move through and interact with different water features, this large statue will be a part of the experience.

We have loved all the information we have been given about this experience and are thrilled with the new information about the Te Fiti statue.  This experience seems to be really something to look forward to as we learn about water and how it is vital to us.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure- Magic Kingdom

It has been announced for some time now that Splash Mountain over in Magic Kingdom would be reimagined into a Princess and the Frog theme.  No specific dates were set early on; however, we are starting to see more about what this reimagination will look like.

At the D23 Expo, there was a 3D model of what Guests can expect from the reimagination at both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland Park.  Not many details can be seen through the model such as the inside features; however, it is clear that the overall structure of the ride will remain the same.

The overall outdoor look seems to remain the same with the addition of a water tower outside.  We hope to learn more about what these changes and updates will look to Splash Mountain as it transforms into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

It is very exciting that all these sneak peeks came before the D23 Expo has even started.  We are thrilled about everything that could be announced over the next few days for the Disney Company as a whole.

What exciting announcements are looking forward to?  We have our top picks HERE.  Not to spoil the fun, but a nighttime parade, Fantastic, and Tron are all on our list.  Looking for more information on the D23 Expo make sure to follow our sister site DisneyDining for the most up-to-date information.

This weekend is sure to be filled with magic, dreams, and surprises that you won’t want to miss out on!
