Come On Disney! We What This To Happen!

As we prepare for all the big announcements from the D23 Expo this weekend, we thought it would be fun to take a look at what we are hoping to hear from the Disney Company.  Although we are so grateful for what is taking place in the Disney Parks, there are a few things that we are still anxiously awaiting.

Take a look and see if you too are waiting for these announcements from Disney.

Fantasmic’s Return

Just recently Walt Disney World released a short video hinting at the fact that the beloved nighttime show Fantastic will be returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon.  The video shows us that Cast Members are back training for and rehearsing for the return of the show.

We are hopeful that during the D23 Expo, we will hear an official return date for the show.  This is a huge part of Disney’s Hollywood Studios and it has been gone since the Parks closed in March 2020.

Disney has released a little information about the show regarding updates to the scenes which we are excited to see.  The show returned to Disneyland Park in May giving us hope that the show would be returning soon to the East coast as well.

Let’s hope that this is an announcement that we hear!

Opening Date For Tron Lightcyle Run

Another date we have anxiously been awaiting is the opening date for Tron Lightcyle Run in Magic Kingdom.  This thrill ride has been one that we have also been waiting for now over a few years.  We have been able to watch the construction process over the last few years, but we are now ready for it to open to Guests.

We have seen the ride being tested over the last few months giving us hope that the opening date is coming soon.  Along with the opening date, we are interested in learning if Tron will be a virtual queue like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT, offer Individual Lightning Lanes, or have a standby queue.  If it does open with a virtual queue option, it will be the first ride in Magic Kingdom to do so.

We know that Disney has a plan, but we are hopeful we will learn more about this plan over the weekend.

Happily Ever After

Happily Ever After Returns

This might be a personal preference and we understand that, but we are hoping to learn that Happily Ever After will return to Magic Kingdom following the 50th Anniversary Celebration.  Disney Enchantment (the current nighttime show at Magic Kingdom) was brought in as part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Because of this, we are wondering, and hoping, that we will see Disney Enchantment wrap up and Happily Ever After a return.  overall, Disney Enchantment hasn’t gotten a lot of positive feedback from Guests.  Disney has tried to listen as they just recently added a new intro featuring Walt and Roy.

Happily Ever After was a truly amazing show that brought magic to Guests with outstanding projections, music, and fireworks.  We are hopeful that it will be back once again to the Magic Kingdom.

Main St. Electrical Parade

Nighttime Parade at Magic Kingdom

This has been a hope and dreams for a while now at Walt Disney World.  We are really, really hoping that Disney will announce the return of a nighttime parade to Magic Kingdom.  Although it would be fantastic to see a brand new parade, we will be happy to have anything.

Disney could choose to bring Paint the Night to Magic Kingdom or even Main Street, U.S.A. Electrical Parade which is wrapping up in Disneyland soon.  There is something magical about wrapping up the evening in Magic Kingdom with fireworks and a nighttime parade.  We hope that this will be coming soon.

Expansion of the Disney Skyliner

This is a big hope and dream that we want Disney to announce!  We are so wanting the expansion of the Disney Skyliner.   The Disney Skyliner is an amazing mode of transportation and it would be fantastic to see it expand throughout the Walt Disney World Resort property.

We are sure there are all sorts of options on where it could go, but our top pick would be Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.  We think this Resort is outstanding the way it is, but if the Skyliner would stop here as well it would truly take this Resort to a new level.

Having a stop at Disney’s Animal Kingdom would be a nice way to have an additional mode of transportation to this Park.

We know that Disney once again has probably thought about this, but we are hoping that they will share their plans.

More EPCOT News

We love all the updates and transformations going on at EPCOT. The opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Connections Cafe & Eatery has really added a lot to the front of EPCOT.

It would be nice to hear more about the transformations happening in EPCOT.  One area we would like to know more about is the Play! Pavilion.  This was announced a few years ago; however, we haven’t heard much about this interactive area since.  We are wondering if it is still on the plans.  We would also like to see more about when the statue of Walt himself will be added.

There are a lot of little pieces from Disney’s transformation that we would like to know more about this weekend.

We are so excited about the D23 Expo where we are hopeful to learn a lot of what the Disney Company has planned in all the Disney Parks, for the Disney Cruise Line, for Disney+ and so much more.  What are you looking forward to?  Stay up to date over at our sister site:  Disney Dining!
