Why You Want to Add a Visit to a Disney Water Park

When most of us visit Walt Disney World, we focus on the four main Disney Parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We will suggest that you look into visiting the two water Parks as well. Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are the two water Parks at Walt Disney World. Lately, we have seen one or the other open.

Walt Disney World announced that Blizzard Beach would be open through March 18, with Typhoon Lagoon on March 19. The Disney waterparks are a great way to experience the magic while on vacation. We have a few reasons to consider adding a water Park to your Walt Disney World vacation.

Blizzard Beach

Not a Big Additional Cost

Adding a water Park to your trip isn’t much more when buying your Walt Disney World tickets. To move from a standard theme Park ticket to a water Park and sports option is an additional $70. This allows you to visit a Disney water Park for the length of your tickets. This means you can see a water Park five times with a five-day ticket.

This can be a great way to add fun to your Walt Disney World trip.

No Park Pass Reservations

Another great aspect of having a water Park ticket is that you won’t have to make Park Pass reservations. When visiting the four main Disney Parks, Guests need a valid theme Park ticket and to make Park Pass Reservations. These have Guests choosing which Disney Park they plan on visiting each day of their ticket.

When wanting to go to a Disney water Park, Guests who choose to add this feature to their tickets can visit the water Park any day. This makes it a great option as Guests can choose to visit during the morning or afternoon, depending on the weather that day.

This makes having the water Park ticket option a great additional value.

Relaxation

Our top reason for visiting at Walt Disney World water Park is because you can slow down and relax. By visiting a water Park during your Disney vacation, you can schedule some rest and relaxation.

The water Parks provide significant areas to lounge and relax. You can take a lap in the lazy river, hang out in the wave pool, or sit by the pool while reading a book. At a water Park, you don’t feel the pressure you do in Disney Parks to be on the go constantly. Instead, the water Parks provide a relaxing atmosphere that allows Guests to enjoy the sunshine and magic of Disney.

Relaxation is the main reason we love Disney Water Parks. They make us feel like we are on a beach vacation where we can relax and rest.

Rides for Entertainment

If you don’t want to sit and relax the whole time you are at the water Park, don’t worry; there are many things to experience as well. Each water Park has numerous rides, slides, and fun for everyone.

From a lazy river that allows you to float around to the extreme thrill of Summit Plummet, the water Parks have something for everyone to enjoy. Each water Park has a handful of slides to enjoy. These are perfect for those that like to stay busy or don’t want to sit and relax the whole time. The entire family will enjoy the racer slides or the water coaster.

Fun for Tots

Even if you are traveling with little ones, you will find the water park to be a great experience. Tike’s Peak is a fun winter theme play area with Frozen updates. Over at Typhoon Lagoon, little ones can explore Ketchakiddee Creek. There are small water slides, splash areas, and shallow pools for them to enjoy.

We love that even the little ones can get into the water Park for fun.

Options for Everyone

The water Parks are an excellent option for the whole family. We love that thrill seekers, and beachgoers can enjoy time at the Disney water Parks. Because of all the options, adding a water Park day to your vacation is a fantastic option.

Keep Cool

The water Parks are a fantastic way to cool off when traveling to Walt Disney World during the warm summer months. Find an umbrella, rent a cabana, or hang out in the water to battle the summer heat. Spending a day at a water Park is an excellent way to stay cool during the hot summer months.

Mini Donuts and Snacks

It might surprise many to learn that the water Parks at Disney do have some delicious treats. One of our favorite snacks is the mini donuts at Blizzard Beach. These warm, sugary treats are a must-get when visiting. Don’t forget the dipping sauce as well.

We also enjoy ice cream from Happy Landings Ice Cream at Typhoon Lagoon. With so many great flavors, we can always find something to cool us off.

So Much Fun

Finally, we love heading to the water Parks because they are so much fun. They provide many fun, entertaining options while also allowing Guests to relax. This is a significant change from the other Disney Parks.

As you plan your next Walt Disney World vacation, consider adding a Walt Disney World water park. You will have a lot of fun exploring, relaxing, and having a magical time.
