Crowds

The days of an empty Walt Disney World we saw throughout 2020, and 2021 are long gone. Crowds are back at Walt Disney World. Don’t let this scare you away from the magic.

Take time to prepare for crowds so you can navigate them during your trip. We have a lot of suggestions at How to Disney to help make your experience magical. Look over those tips and suggestions, so you are ready to be one step ahead of the crowds during your trip.

This also means that you will make sure you make your reservations early on if you want to visit in 2023. The earlier you book, the better selection you have when it comes to Disney Resort options as well as Park Pass availability.

Crowds are going to be part of 2023 at Walt Disney World. Head into the Parks knowing that and having the plan to navigate them. Doing that will help you have a great time.

More Dining is Coming

We love all the dining options we can find throughout Walt Disney World. From quick service locations to signature dining, there are always fantastic options for us during our trip.

We recently saw the opening of new dining locations such as Space 220, Steakhouse 71, and Connections Cafe and Eatery. These new dining locations have quickly become top choices for Guests. We are excited that morning dining is coming in 2023.

The new Roundup Rodeo is coming to Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and we can’t wait. We look forward to this new, fun-themed dining location that will be a welcome relief from the heat in this area of Disney Park. Know this will be extremely popular, so ensure you get those reservations early once an opening date is announced.

Also coming to Walt Disney World are new dining options at Disney Springs. Summer House on the Lake will be coming in 2023. This restaurant has options in Chicago and Maryland, already showing us a menu featuring pizza, sandwiches, pasta, and more.

We love that Disney is constantly bringing in new dining options for Guests and can’t wait to try all the new options in 2023.

Because of how important this app is, don’t wait until you arrive at Walt Disney World to learn what it is has to offer. Use those posts and suggestions on How to Disney so you are familiar before your trip.

Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lanes

It doesn’t matter if you plan to use these two new features or not during your 2023 vacation, you will want to  make sure you know what they are ahead of time. We feel like it is highly unlikely that they are going away anytime soon.

Genie+ is a paid feature that Guests in 2023 can choose to add to their day starting at $15/per person.  This can currently be added at midnight.  Once added, Guests can then make selections for rides throughout the day, therefore, bypassing the standby lines.  There is a lot that goes into this system, so take time to learn it HERE.

Individual Lightning Lanes are the rides at each of the four Disney Parks that aren’t included in Genie+.  In order to use the Lightning Lanes (the actual line you use) for these rides, you have to pay al-a-carte.  We have seen up to two rides per Disney Park be part of this feature.  Find out more HERE.

Take time to learn about these features to help you determine if you’ll want to use them in 2023. If you learn about these features, you will be able to make a better decision as to if they would work for your family or not.

New Experiences

We are thrilled that new experiences continue to come to Walt Disney World. 2023 will be full of excitement as the highly anticipated TRON Lightcyle Run in Magic Kingdom will be opening. This thrilling coaster is set to open late 2023. We anticipate that it will be using a virtual queue when it opens to Guests so make sure you understand that process.

Over in EPCOT, Journey of Water Inspried by Moana will be opening in 2023. This will be an interactive, walk through experience that teaches Guests about the importance of water.
