Video: Here’s How to Make Krakatoa Punch from Trader Sam’s

Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Resort and Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at the Walt Disney World Resort are among the most popular Disney bars at any park or resort. Inspired by classic tiki bars, and Disney Adventureland attractions like the Jungle Cruise, the bars offer Disney storytelling alongside delicious drinks, entertainment and special effects. If you are missing Trader Sam’s while you are away from Disney Parks, we have just the recipe to help you bring some of the magic home with this recipe for Krakatoa Punch.

The recipe was recently shared to TikTok from the official Disney Parks account:

Served at both Trader Sam’s locations, at the Disneyland Hotel in California and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in Florida, the Krakatoa Punch is made with Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, Pyrat XO Reserve Rum, Orgeat (Almond), Sam’s Gorilla Grog, and Hibiscus Grenadine.

Of course, mixing up your own Krakatoa Punch at home does not come with all of the antics that visiting Trader Sam’s does, so you’ll still want to include a stop at the tiki bar on your next Disneyland or Walt Disney World vacation.

Trader Sam’s is inspired by the character from the classic Jungle Cruise attraction, who was “bitten by the bartending bug,” and opened up a bar showcasing all sorts of concoctions from exotic Adventureland locales. Other favorites at the bar include the Nautilus, HippopotoMai-Tai, Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Rum, and Uh-Oa.

In addition to Krakatoa Punch, both locations offer a full specialty cocktail menu along with small bites (and some full meals at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Resort). We recommend arriving at either location early, as they are very popular spots and can fill up quickly resulting in long wait times. At the Polynesian, you can also opt for a table outside at Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace, which loses the ambiance of the indoor bar but will get you seated faster.
