There are numerous Walt Disney World Resorts for Guests to choose from when planning their Disney vacations. Although we love all of the options, it can sometimes take time to determine which Resort is the best.

We will share the top three Walt Disney World Resorts in 2023 and why you want to stay at one of them during your next vacation to Disney.

Disney Resort Categories

Before we start with our top three, let’s make sure that we all know the different Walt Disney World Resort categories for Guests.

A Value Resort is the most budget-friendly option at Walt Disney World. These focus on providing Guests with a safe, comfortable stay while in the Disney bubble. They have basic amenities such as a food court and one bus stop, as well as doors that open to the outside.

A Moderate Resort is the next category. Here, Guests can enjoy more amenities when it comes to dining, and the pools now have slides. These are large Resorts that have multiple bus stops.

The Deluxe Resort category includes the top category of Disney Resorts. These are the most expensive and provide the best amenities. These Resorts are close to a Disney Park and have the bigger rooms, the best dining, and amazing pools. Rooms are usually interior rooms as well.

Looking at these three categories, let’s look at where our top five Disney Resorts currently land.

Pop Century- Value

Our first Disney Resort to stay at during 2023 is Pop Century. Even though Pop Century is valuable, it has a lot to offer Guests traveling in 2023.

First, the rooms at Pop Century have been updated to include new hardwood floors, lots of luggage storage under the bed, tons of charging areas, and new showers. The new rooms feel fresh and welcoming. We like that one of the beds folds up, providing more room for those traveling with a smaller party.

A huge perk to Pop Century is the Skyliner. Being able to take the Skyliner to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is extremely convenient and a lot of fun as well. We love this option of transportation and find it reliable during our trips.

We also like Pop Century because of the food court. Although some might feel like this isn’t positive, we have always had good experiences here.

The three pools don’t have slides, but they are well-themed and provide great entertainment for kids.

If you want to save money during your 2023 Walt Disney World vacation, consider a stay at Pop Century.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort- Moderate

Our second Disney Resort for 2023 is Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. We love this stunning Disney Resort. Even though it is in the moderate category, the amenities throughout the Resort are deluxe.

First off, we love Gran Destino Tower. If you can stay in this section of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, we highly recommend doing so in 2023. Gran Destino Tower is gorgeous and in a great location. Right near the bus transportation and all the food, we love being able to stay here.

Disney’s Coronado Springs also provides a large variety of great dining. One of our favorite locations is Three Bridges Bar and Grill. We enjoy the atmosphere of this bar located right in the middle of the water. It has a great menu and amazing views.

The Dig Site Pool area is also fantastic. Not only is there a wonderful poolside bar with drinks and a small menu, but the slide is also excellent, and the pool is large. Guests of all ages will love hanging out here during the day.

We also love the overall feel of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. It is a stunning Resort that offers so much for Guests during their stay. Don’t miss out on a magical stay here in 2023.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort- Deluxe

Our top pick for a Deluxe Resort stay in 2023 is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort. There is something truly magical about a stay at this Resort. It took a while for us to stay here as we always wanted a tropical feel when in Disney, but we are now sold.

The overall relaxing atmosphere at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is one we love during a Disney vacation. There are so many hidden areas that Guests can sit and relax. From down by the water to around the pools or in the beautiful lobby, GUests will find a perfect spot.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge’s location is also why we love it. It is located right near Magic Kingdom and is a quick and easy boat ride away from the magic. Even though it is super close, the Resort still feels quiet and relaxed.

The dining throughout the Resort is also top-notch. We love everything offered here, from the quick service options at Roaring Fork to the sit-down, character dining at Artist Pointe. Don’t forget about having a fantastic meal at Whispering Canyon as well.

With two pools and a kid’s play area, the little ones will love this Resort as well. If you are looking for a little more from your Disney Resort in 2023, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is where you want to be.

When planning your 2023 Walt Disney World vacation, we recommend the top three Disney Resorts for your stay. They provide a magical experience the whole family can enjoy.
