8. Wild wonders at Animal Kingdom
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom you and your family can enjoy a vast array of unique experiences, including personal encounters with a menagerie of wild creatures you aren’t likely to come in contact with any other way. The ultimate adventure to take together is perhaps Kilimanjaro Safaris, in which groups are led by way of an open-air vehicle though the vast savannas where they will encounter live African animals at home in well maintained natural surroundings. Another great stop is Rafiki’s Planet Watch where you will find the informative Conservation Station, full of educational insight like onsite animal health and wellness checkups, a nutrition center, and many other showcases highlighting animals and nature. Rafiki’s Planet Watch is also home to Habitat Habitat! and the Affection Section petting zoo area. There are plenty of other kid-friendly activities and attractions throughout the park as well, from live shows like Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo—The Musical to the entertaining games and rides in DinoLand. And here’s something newly hatched at DinoLand—it’s Donald’s Dino-Bash, a prehistoric party given by Donald Duck in celebration of recently discovering that his ancestors were in fact dinosaurs! Other friends joining the fun include Daisy, Pluto, Goofy, Launchpad McQuack, Scrooge McDuck, and Chip and Dale. And let’s not forget about the recently opened of Pandora World of AVATAR—always a fun pursuit to explore as a family.
